  1. BTW, thanks for all the useful info. We figure we could stop at one of the restaurants in both ports and order an appetizer and drinks so my wife could use their restroom and the restaurant wouldn't have any issues. That sound reasonable, fellow travelers?
  2. My wife and I will be on a cruise soon with stops in St. Maarten and Puerto Rico. We are not going on any excursions at either port and just plan on walking about. My wife is concerned about finding a public restroom either in general or in a restaurant. We need advice and information on where there are restrooms in Old San Juan. I expect most restaurants in Old San Juan would have public restrooms and I would make some sort of purchase (drinks and an appetizer most likely) prior to using it. Also are there public restrooms that are not in a business?

My wife is concerned about finding a public restroom either in general or in a restaurant. We need advice and information on where there are restrooms near the Boardwalk and Front Street in Philipsburg (which is where we will be mostly) Am I correct to assume that most restaurants around the Boardwalk and Front St. in Philipsburg have restrooms available for customers? Are there some that require a fee (coin operated)? A

  5. Thank you. I didn't find that particular review but did find a review with photos which definitely answered my question regarding the size of the lockable storage. I wanted to know beforehand if there was someplace secure to store my cell phone which would be the only thing of value I'd take. Everything else would be sunscreen, hats, et al. I had read that there are bluetooth speakers in the cabanas so you can play music from your cell phone which would be nice for a while. I'd also like to take video and photos with my cell phone so I can send the photos/videos to friends and relatives later
  6. I have a LocTote locking bag/backpack which I plan on bringing. What object within the cabana is good to lock something onto?
  7. My wife and I will be on a cruise soon and one port will be St. Maarten. What are some good restaurants near the boardwalk that specialize in local seafood dishes? We plan on taking a taxi into town from the cruise port and having at least one meal there. If we time it right we will probably go for an early lunch and an early dinner before going back to the ship. It may end up being lunch OR dinner if we can't find a way of killing several hours in the area.
  8. My wife and I are going to be on a cruise aboard the Harmony of the Seas fairly soon and one of the ports will be at San Juan. There's not any excursion there that interests us so we were just planning on taking a taxi into Old San Juan for lunch and/or dinner. What are some good restaurants in Old San Juan that feature local cuisine? Also, once we are dropped off at the restaurant what's the best way to get a taxi back to port? Can the restaurant call a cab for us? Are there taxi stands within walking distance of most Old San Juan restaurants?
  9. I read on the Royal Caribbean website that the Chill Island Cabanas have lockable storage within. However I didn't see what the interior dimensions are nor what kind of lock? I assume it's a combination lock of some sort. Is it electronic like the onboard cabin safes?
