We typically sail balcony and tip our steward $40-$50 for a week. I will also tip bartenders or servers $1 for each round they get us giving they have a smile on their face.

We sailed Seascape in November and departed from NCL’s B terminal and disembarked through terminal C.

Excellent thread. Taking our first MSC (Seascape) cruise November 4th and starting to get excited. Thank you for your time.

We, too, will gladly pay our expected tips. Additionally, we will tip extra to those who go above and beyond or are extra pleasant to deal with.

Daily at 4pm on the back side of the buffet (near wine selections). You can get soft serve vanilla, chocolate or swirl in a cone only. They do not give bowls. Also, be a little early as there is usually a line. They do offer some toppings and other deserts as well.

I don’t disagree. That said, those folks work long hard hours for the money they deserve. Many are single income supporting a spouse and children halfway around the world. I have no problem tipping them for their attentiveness and efforts. I was raised to take care of those who take care of you.

Here’s my pro tip. Take it how you will. We always bring $100 in singles on every cruise. Most times, when walking up to the bar, I will tip the bartender 1-2$. The bartenders start to recognize this/you. Then, when the bar is busy, they’ll see you in line and know what you’re looking for. Many times they’ll make my drink and point to me in line. I’ll politely say excuse me to other passengers and make my way up to get my drink(s). I’ve found killing them with kindness (even when you may not want to) goes a long way as well. Same said for the buffet area or pool deck. Tip for drinks and those servers will always walk by and make sure you’re taken care of.

I would recommend going right to NCL’s page and reading the guidance there. Things still continue to change and NCL is always updating their site. Asking here has typically proven to yield conflicting answers which leads to ongoing confusion.

Going on the Jade out of Athens next month. Is it possible to get Euros on the ship? Maybe in the casino? If so, is there a fee? How much? Lastly, how many Euros would YOU bring for a couple days pre and couple days post cruise? Or is it credit card most places? Thank you in advance!
