  2. If I were planning on going snorkeling in FEBRUARY in the Bahamas, I'd be concerned about the temps. Having been there in April a few times, the temperatures were borderline as to whether swimming/snorkeling would be possible...especially, for a small child. Having said that, I haven't been in Freeport specifically during that time of year, so someone else may have had better temperature luck than I have. Garnett
  3. Unless something has changed, Room Service is no longer free after 10pm (I believe), but to Eli's point, I do think it is free between the hours of 6am and 10pm. Garnett
  4. If you purchase prior to sailing, the plan must be paid for with the credit card or gift card. To my knowledge, you can't use your Sign and Sail account for any purchases PRIOR to physically being on the ship. Garnett
  5. I've done 2 Journeys cruises (14 day and longer) and to the best of my remembrance, the menus do not repeat. However, seems I do recall seeing a dish or two pop up a second time here and there. Garnett

  7. It seems to vary by account. I can load the offer on my blue card, but not on my wife's Hilton/American Express card. It gives an error message saying we've already taken advantage of the offer. Garnett

  10. The information sheet is alluding to what I TRIED, but failed, to communicate in my previous message. I previously put the date as 6/30, but apparently, it is 7/31/2020....and based on my previous experience, they won't give credit past the 7/31 date until the Board of Directors review the program and decide to renew it for another year. Like Venture Man will probably have to do, I'm waiting for the Shareholder Program renewal so I can submit several of my cruises for the second half of 2020 and the first half of 2021. I previously tried to sneak in my Hawaii cruise which sails in September 2020, but they shot me down and told me I had to wait. Garnett
  11. I have received OBC for multiple cruises using the same email message. Relative to your cruises, I would think they would grant the OBC for the May and June cruises, but not the September cruise. This is because the Carnival Board of Directors votes on renewing the Stock Ownership program annually...and to the best of my knowledge, the program has only been approved to run through June 30 of this year. I think this is just a formality though as the board seems to renew the program every year. Bottom Line: You should be able to get OBC for the first two cruises, but will have to wait until the board votes on extending the program before getting OBC for the third cruise. Garnett
  12. I have to say that I haven't used a travel agent in decades. That said, I THINK some travel agents don't enter the OBC until closer to the cruise. Regardless, it can't hurt to call them and inquire as to the timing of the OBC being put into the system. Garnett
  13. If the OBC has already been entered into Carnival's system, you should be able to see it when you click on the "Print Documents" icon. Go to the "Cruise Manager", click on "Planner" and then "Print Documents". From there, click on the "Print General Information" box, and then "Print". This should generate a .pdf document that you can review. Your OBC should be on the second page directly under the "Itemized Charges" box. Garnett
  14. Wow...that's strange. I've never run into that screen before, but then again, I've always paid for the gratuities as a part of the cruise total cost. Maybe that screen appears once the cruise is fully paid for and someone wants to go back in and pay for the grats separately? Garnett
  15. What makes you say that? I've used gift cards LOTS of times to pay for gratuities online. Not trying to be argumentative, just curious as to what roadblock you've run into in the past that would make you come to that conclusion. Garnett
  16. You can indeed use the gift cards to pay your gratuities online before boarding. From the opening page on Carnival's website, click on "Manage" at the top of the page, then choose "My Cruise". On the next opening page, click on "Booking and Order Details" and then scroll down the page until you see "View Balance Details" (it's about 1/3 of the way down the page and should be near the "View Documents" icon) and click on that. Next, once the "Cruise Balance Details" page opens, you should be able to "Prepaid Gratuities" and have the ability there to add/remove them as you desire. From there, you will be taken to a payment page where several payment options are available with gift cards being one of them. Simply click on the gift card tab, enter the information requested, and you are done. Note: To the best of my knowledge, you can NOT pay for gratuities separately from the rest of the cruise if the cruise has a balance. That is to say, if there is a balance owed on your cruise, the website will add the price of the gratuities to the balance owed on the cruise. You can still use the gift cards to pay toward the balance, but the amount paid will be applied only to the balance owed as a single entity (cruise balance plus gratuity balance), not directly to the gratuities only.   19. I put a cruise on 48 hours courtesy hold earlier today and, after discussing it with the wife, am now ready to pay our deposit to hold our cabin. However, whenever I try to go to the "Manage My Cruise" tab on the Carnival Website, I get an error message saying either my browser sent a "Bad Request" (I get this message using Firefox) or nothing happens at all. I've tried a couple of different browsers, but to no avail. Best I can remember, this problem has existed...at least for me...since around 11am this morning...and after trying again just now, I still can't get in to make a payment. Anyone else having this issue? Garnett
  20. I agree with the above. On our last visit, my wife and some of her relatives piled into a van for a city sight-seeing tour, but I passed as I felt like I had spent enough time already in vans on our previous ports of call. Bottom line, I think I got just as good a "tour" walking from the ship as they did in the back of their van. From what I remember, I exited the port area to the right, going down a semi-long walkway to the Rif Fort. Once inside the fort, there are some shopping areas and restaurants if you're looking for that type of thing. If you choose to exit the fort on the opposite end you entered, the floating bridge that crosses over into old Curacao is about another 1/4 of a mile...or thereabouts. Garnett

  23. Yeah, I pointed that out to them, but that didn't seem to faze them at all. I'm sure they're trying to capitalize on families with small children trying to travel when school is out...or something to that effect. Garnett
