  1. I've been saying this since this whole thing started. Just like the flu, there will be some new strain every year. Just like the flu, there will be a new annual shot you can get every year - probably will be packaged right along with the annual flu shot. Just like the flu, you can either get your shot or take your chances and get sick. Just like the flu, if you're older, you probably want to get the shot, but if you're younger, you'll be fine either way.
  2. Which doesn't sound any different from how we deal with the common flu now, and is basically what I predicted a year ago: You can either get the shot or get the flu every year - if you're older, you probably want to get the shot, and if you're younger, it's six of one, half a dozen of another.
  3. We've already had COVID. Having antibodies should count, right?
  4. You can apparently no longer book a 2021 Alaska cruise on Royal's site - I assume NCL will soon do the same.
  5. Hmm, this would seem to not bode well for Encore sailing in May... am I reading that right?
  6. And what if we recently had COVID, and can provide a positive antibodies test?
  7. So, I'm staring to think about our mid-May Encore trip, which definitely probably maybe might possibly happen. Thinking about bidding on upgrades. I see two Haven categories, HF "Haven Courtyard Penthouse with Balcony" and HE "Haven Courtyard Penthouse with Large Balcony". Mock bookings indicate one would pay several hundred dollars less for the "Large Balcony" which doesn't make sense to me. Why would the "Large" balcony be cheaper, and by a good margin, with everything else about these two categories seeming to be the same? The only other difference I can determin
  8. My May cruise says this, but it's already paid in full.
  9. It took a bit of back and forth with our PCC but we did get ours extended and applied to our 2021 cruise. They were set to expire in September, and after they shut down all sailings through then, I just said, look, we couldn't use these now even if we wanted to. I suspect if THAT one gets canceled we might be SOL though.
  10. I was told by my PCC that I had to cruise by the expiration date, but that's not what I remember being told when I bought them.
  11. We had a cruise booked last month using certificates that were set to expire this September. We've rebooked basically the same cruise next May, and the certificates are back in our account. Our PCC has said she will look into getting them extended/applied to that cruise next year but no luck as of yet.
  12. Holding them without pay does seem... illegal. But I guess they could always take every penny of Frank Del Rio's compensation of 22.6 million, and divide it up among NCL's 223,914 employees, for a whopping bonus of 4.8 cents per hour.
  13. It seems like the extra 20% discount only applies to the first pax. That seems odd, as if they are just ASSUMING this is a solo booking... And the cancellation email definitely doesn't say that.
  14. I'd be okay with being on a less-than-full sailing... I think I would be very much okay with that.
