  1. It took a bit of back and forth with our PCC but we did get ours extended and applied to our 2021 cruise. They were set to expire in September, and after they shut down all sailings through then, I just said, look, we couldn't use these now even if we wanted to. I suspect if THAT one gets canceled we might be SOL though.
  2. I was told by my PCC that I had to cruise by the expiration date, but that's not what I remember being told when I bought them.
  3. We had a cruise booked last month using certificates that were set to expire this September. We've rebooked basically the same cruise next May, and the certificates are back in our account. Our PCC has said she will look into getting them extended/applied to that cruise next year but no luck as of yet.
  4. Holding them without pay does seem... illegal. But I guess they could always take every penny of Frank Del Rio's compensation of 22.6 million, and divide it up among NCL's 223,914 employees, for a whopping bonus of 4.8 cents per hour.
  5. It seems like the extra 20% discount only applies to the first pax. That seems odd, as if they are just ASSUMING this is a solo booking... And the cancellation email definitely doesn't say that.
  6. I'd be okay with being on a less-than-full sailing... I think I would be very much okay with that.
  7. So it seems like, if my CruiseNext certificates expire this year, and cruising probably isn't going to happen this year, that kinda locks me into taking the FCC + 20 percent deal.
  8. OK, so... what happens if I booked THIS cruise using CruiseNext certificates that would have expired later this year?
  9. Emailed our PCC a week ago about our May Alaska cruise that I can't fathom how it could proceed, with Seattle and Canada being closed. Got a response back pretty quick, but it was just a canned "we are working with local authorities, rapidly evolving situation, blah blah blah" response.
  10. Hrmph. Was supposed to be on the Bliss May 17th. This doesn't seem to help, given the Seattle/Canada closings.
  11. The Seattle cruise port is closed "indefinitely". And Canada ports are closed until July 1st. Our May Bliss sailing still shows as active, but I can't fathom how that would work now. We are expecting an official cancellation from NCL now. Wish they would just hurry up so we could work on canceling air and hotel.
  12. Well, crap. Was going on Bliss in May. Sounds like this might kill that?
  13. Going on Bliss to Alaska in May. No plans to cancel, however I am considering purchasing travel insurance which I don't normally do. If NCL were to cancel the sailing, would travel insurance cover that?
  14. Current events (virus) might be driving this more than usual as well. Noticed my sailing at 79 days out went down substantially this week. Just read something about how some cruise lines (but not NCL) are making exceptions to their cancelation/refund policy due to this.
  15. Did I hear somewhere that the credit can also be applied to a transfer from the cruise to the airport on debarkation day? And if so how does that work? I don't see any such excursion on my cruise planner, about 90 days out. But I know I've seen them on other cruises.
