  1. Beautiful. I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear MIL. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
  2. You are such a gem. Thank you!! I'm off to change my hotel location! ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. I will ask for you. Hi, @BBMacLaird! I'm wondering if you had any luck on this. I'm trying to figure out if I should change my hotel location, as I want to be able to walk to whichever terminal it will be. Thank you!
  4. Oh yes, I do love that! It's the service earlier in the day that I forego, haha. I realized how different we all are when the "free movies" threads started, as it's something I couldn't care less about but soon understood that I was in the minority there! We all vacation differently and feel rewarded by our own luxuries! These types of threads are a great reminder that my view is not dispositive. ๐Ÿ˜Š Looking forward to your "live from" in April! (I recall your stating elsewhere you'd be doing one.) I'm a couple of sailings later than you, on the 23rd, and am tempted to do one myself as well.
  5. I wanted to compliment you on such a well-thought-out poll. It's interesting. I made my choices with a little inkling of "am I normal?" in the back of my head. The four things I put at a 5 or above were complimentary room service, bathrobes, priority embarkation, and priority tendering. The one that the plurality of people care about - twice daily servicing of the rooms - is not something I even use as most of the time we ask them just to come by once. I think it might be connected to our love of the free room service and not wanting to be disturbed, haha. ๐Ÿ˜ Nevertheless, the loss of no one or two items would make me look elsewhere. I'm in love with the Solstice ships and excited to try Apex in April.
  6. Whoa, that's surprising. I'm sorry to ask, but I assume that applies to the Dec. 14 cruise as well? Thanks.
  7. Thanks Lois! Canโ€™t wait for February! Thank you both for the assistance!
  8. This is a wonderful thread; thank you to those who've posted. I'm taking my first solo cruise in December and have sort of an opposite question... I do NOT necessarily want to dine with anyone else. I love meeting new people but also love being alone. Do you feel like the staff treat you oddly if you eat alone in the MDR? (This will be Azamara if it matters.) I'm sure I'll hit the buffet at times but don't want to feel foreclosed from trying out the MDR or even specialty dining, since it's my first time on this cruise line.
  9. I just booked my first Azamara cruise after reading this entire thread tonight. I need a getaway, and there was an itinerary that looked appealing, but I wanted to learn everything I could before booking, especially as I'll be doing it solo since my husband can't make it. I just wanted to thank every person who's taken the time to post tips in this thread, and especially Host Grandma for posting info and maintaining the spreadsheet. Your posts have helped me enormously!
  10. It is possible to reverse a business decision. It happens all the time in many businesses. Celebrity is no different. Customer feedback is the key. But your words about LLP implies that you know her personally. Or are they just out of frustration? Prescient.
  11. Eek. That's rough to deal with. She's so lucky to be with you guys, though!
  12. This is terrific; I'm really enjoying your style of writing. Thanks for taking the time to do it. And I wanted to say thank you for adopting an older dog. That's wonderful! All your babies are lovely.
  13. I canโ€™t wait to read it! Thanks so much for the reply to my question. Can hardly wait! Oh, Iโ€™d love to try Blu, too! Great point about not interfering with the Aqua class folks. Thanks for the advice!
  14. I didn't think my small question was worthy of its own thread, so I thought I'd ask in this "suite life" thread and hope that @vtcruising or other Edge experts can help. I'm cruising on the Apex in April in a suite, and I'm wondering if it is possible for us to book a dinner in one of the MDRs? We are huge fans of Greek food, and the sample specialities menu at Cyprus looks right up our alley. But I'm not sure if we are able to take up that space in Cyprus that would otherwise be available to others. I see it in our cruise planner, but don't know if that's dispositive. Thanks!
