  1. could go either way. On all past trips I have gotten the black elite but this cruise I got the color for my real level.
  2. The twin ones are fluffier and feel lighter while providing more snuggle factor. The queen blankets seem heavy and dense to me.
  3. Love the blankets on the twin set up.
  4. Is there a list anywhere which says what is in each ice cream monster? I think I may need to try one if only to get a picture of it - and my kids might eat the candy.
  5. Actually at many hotels people do decorate their doors. We were in Tahoe recently and there were many doors down our hall decorated.
  6. We have gotten the classic soda package for our boys every time we sail, I like the ease of them having the package so they can get drinks whenever they want they have never missed the juice bar - we let them try a few of them from our plan and honestly they liked the mocktails much better.
  7. My teens love going on princess cruises as they get some freedom. We usually get them the drink package which they love trying all the different drinks that we never have at home. We have never had issues with them finding friends or things to do even when we have taken cruises at off times when other kids are in school. Those sailings they have usually met kids form other countries who are on break at that time or who are in year round school who have different breaks than their school. The one big thing to make sure to do is go to the first night in the teen club that's when they meet everyone after that they rarely went to the teen room unless they wanted to do a specific activity. They usually met their friends by the pool deck or up on the sports deck.
  8. My twins had this come up we had to go to the internet help desk and they set up special passwords for them that were not their birthdays.
  9. Yes this is what I had to do too. I was able to get the same dinning room same time each night doing it this way. The other way it showed no availability in any dinning room.
  10. when you register to get ready for the cruise you can say weather you allow your child to use the app. If you do then they can download it and use it. Our boys have used it the last three cruises we were on, it was nice to be able to look and see where they were on the app but honestly the texting through the app does not work all that well as there is no signal that you have a new message so for us using other apps to text worked better.
  11. It’s part of your getting ready to sail information. It’s not a separate space on the app. When you fill out the information to get ocean ready you have to sign forms to authorize your children’s use of the teen club. I actually didn’t do it on the app though as it was too difficult to type and read I did it on the website.
  12. You will register on the app and there is supposed to be a schedule in your room on arrival. However our last two cruises even though we registered we did not have a schedule so make sure you go up and check in early on boarding day. If you miss the first event it is can be difficult for them to meet other kids.
  13. We did an ocean view with our twins when they were 11. It was fine, but it was crowded, our next cruise we did the mini suite which was nice having so much more space. However for us the mini suite was nice but not worth the price for the bit of extra room so we went with a deluxe balcony for our upcoming cruise.
  14. I was wondering this as well as when we booked princess plus included all four of us but when they did the update it reverted to the first two passengers only,
  15. Fair enough. I looked at her post where she tagged her son and it is the same person who is holding the check. Regardless I still stand by that they were upset because princess discovered the mistake before they were able to get the money and if they hadn't the family would have gladly taken the prize they knew they were not eligible for.
  16. From looking at his Facebook page - the young man in the picture is her son (she made a similar post on Facebook). Her son is at least 18 years old according to his Facebook so this has nothing to do with a child but a young man who thought he would win something that he withdrew from.
  17. So out of curiosity I looked up the post on Facebook. And first off the "child" in question is for sure an adult so was able to gamble legally. In my eyes this makes the fault on this family not on princess. You choose to enter then withdraw. He knew that he had gotten his money back so no reason to think he would actually win. It seems they would have taken the money if princess did not realize their mistake and are mad because princess did catch the mistake. Also the fact that the check is not made out to him but for him makes me question what really happened.
  18. I had both these last week on my cruise and the dream looked close to that but much prettier and the pistachio dome looked nothing like that. They were both as good as always. I ordered the dream quite a few times on my trip and they were all great.
  19. I got mine while I was waiting at the airport for the Sapphire Hawaii trip that just ended.
  20. I was thinking he could use the iron to heat up the can but the sous vide idea sounds much better.
  21. My boys who are teenagers now have done both Disney and Princess cruises they like them both for different reasons. The friends they met on the Princess cruises they have stayed friends with, they also like the fact that they get a drink package on princess and can order fun mocktails. They like Disney for the characters and the themed kids/teen areas. For Alaska they actually requested princess as they didn't want to feel like they were missing out on the characters or activities on the ship to go to the different ports.
  22. So the canapés are okay there are two that we really like the rest are just okay and if you are paying for it I would say it's not worth it. I do like the cheese tray mostly for the ease of having it in the cabin already.
