  1. This is nothing new. The only thing that has changed is the device. Before phones it was the digital camera before that a regular camera. Before that it was the news reporter style video recorders that you needed to carry on your shoulder. In 10-20 years people will be recording on whatever new device is out there.
  2. I’m sorry you’re going through all this. And you’re right. It’s heartless on RC’s part. My suggestion would be to email the higher ups. Might be able to get help that way.
  3. Ok I’ll say this for the 10th time. Not telling Royal to let them on. Telling Royal to refund the family. But it then again I’m asking a big corporation to have a heart over making their bottom line. The only major company I know of that does that consistently is Disney. And that’s why they are the best.
  4. So? Royal is in the hospitality industry, something they regularly forget. You make exceptions in hospitality. And I doubt families would be lining up because their safe was literally tipped from their hotel room. Again, an exception. Not the new normal. Think of the positive PR Royal would of gotten from this. It’s like when a baby is born on a plane and the airline gives the kid free flights for life.
  5. Seriously? Gee, I don’t know, how about refunding the family? I know, I know, “but the CRUISE CONTRACT SAYS!!!!” Like I said, it would be nice for RC to make an “exception” for them.
  6. This is one of those extraordinary situations that you would hope the travel company (this case Royal) would make an exception and help the family out. The positive news coverage would be great PR.
  7. Haha I’m going to have to screen shot these responses for me to remember! Thank you for the info. Im curious now, what about the other class ships? Is the bed placed in the same spot in each cabin? Random?
  8. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-dining/portside-bbq according to Royal this will be a pay per item restaurant.
  9. I used Dial 7 last year to get us from Manhattan to Anthem of the Seas and they were great. Driver was on time (actually he was early!) and asked if it was ok if he made a route change based on traffic (find by me, I don’t know NYC traffic) anyways it took about in hour-ish to get to the ship. Cost wasn’t too bad I think around 80-100 but I can’t remember exactly. Uber will definitely be the cheapest option.
  10. Since no one is playing by the rules you set out, I will. When we first started cruising it was more about the ship. Especially our first cruise. But, as we have cruised and tried different ships and cruise lengths I am finding that I cruise for the ports. So now I am fully in the itinerary camp. My favorite aspect of cruising is that I get to cross off several different countries in one trip. And bonus, my hotel comes with me.
  11. How disappointing! I’m sorry that happened and feel for you!
  12. Definitely not worth it for me. I’ve already paid for my food 😂
  13. They weren’t our table mates...they were seated at the table next to ours but they might as well had been our table mates...but they were awful. They would not shut up. Ever. It’s like they thought if there was a moment of silence somebody would die. They were like a parasite that attaches themselves to us and wouldn’t leave us alone. We always request a table for 2 so my wife and I can just talk to one another. With these two we couldn’t get a word in edgewise. To ourselves or them! I should of asked to have been moved. I won’t make that mistake again.
