Had our first 4 cruises on Arcadia and loved them, but after going on Aurora we found it suited us better. There is much more outside seating on Aurora and a nice coffee lounge. Also the cinema is bigger. We like the Medina restaurant on Aurora as it is in the middle of the ship. The balconies are bigger on Arcadia but Aurora is our favourite, but prices are getting high on Aurora so may try Brittania when we ever get cruising again.

We have found the staff in the buffet on P&O very helpful, if you look for the staff in Orange aprons which say on them can I help ? My wife used a stick and once they get to know you they will look out for you and carry your tray and put things you ask for on your plate.

Just about to go down the charge back route when P&O e mailed me to say they were now processing the refunds with a software program instead of manually and speeded the process up. I got my refund 2 days after there email so I am not in the 100 club any more.

I am still waiting after cancelling mid March, was told on the phone there was a problem with March cancellations, I am supposed to have been transferred to the Priority refunds team but still no joy yet. My wife is beginning to get worried about it.

Just had our First Minister here in Wales with news that all non essential shops can open again on Monday but we are still restricted to a 5 mile radius of home. Living here in Snowdonia out nearest shops are 10 miles away so not much help to us. Been trying to buy a car for 2 months but cannot travel anywhere to test one. At least it is nice and peaceful around here until the holiday makers are allowed back in which seems lightly from 13th July if the virus cases keep low.

Cancelled a cruise mid March for a cruise on Aurora 1st May when the new conditions for cancelling without penalties came in. I e-mailed P&O mid May 60 days later as refund hadn't come and had a reply saying they were just dealing with refunds for that period and not to worry. Still no refund by last Saturday so rang them Sunday at 10am and got straight through and told her it was now over 80 days since cancelling, she told me they were having a problem with refunds from mid March ( don't ask me why) and put me on hold.

She came back and said she had esculaited my claim to the refund priority team so have to wait again, I'm not holding my breath  !

    What a shambles !

Here in North Wales we still have a strict lockdown and can only exercise near home and do essential shopping. It is frustrating but much more sensible than the new rules in England where it looks like a lot of people are acting as if it is all over.

the police stopped a car in Vermouth which had travelled from the Midlands to see the sea and when told they couldn't travel to Wales the couple said Wales is in England, unbelievable !

Our local paper here is reporting holiday caravan parks are getting loads of calls from people in England wanting know why they cannot come to their caravans as Boris says they can travel now. The caravan owners try to explain the rules are different here in Wales but are getting a lot of abuse. So people are confused or just thick !

  9. Here in North Wales we are still not allowed to travel in our cars for exercise while England are letting people drive where they want. This is very confusing for some people who will think they can come here to the coast and spread the virus after us all staying in for weeks ! The police are saying they won't be able to enforce the lock down over here.

Was about to ring the B&B in Southampton where we had booked to stay the night before our cruise on 1st May to cancel it as we have cancelled the cruise with a full refund as I am over 70 when the B&B rang us to say they were closing for a while due to very poor bookings and were very sorry.

As this was Southampton boat show weekend I presume that has been cancelled as well. Seems it's going to hit the hotel trade very badly.

We don't drink alcohol so spend OBC on Coffees, Mocktails and soft drinks then wait until the last few days to grab any bargains in the shops or my wife buys more jewellery she doesn't need ! I have an armfull of watches.

Warnemude port is near To stick which an interesting town to explore,we did a vintage tram ride around the town and was taken back to the ship on a boat with snacks onboard.

Tallin is one of our favorites, you can take the shuttle bus to town and wander around the maze of small streets with plenty of cafes and shops it is lovely.

Stockholm is also nice, we took the shuttle bus to town and headed across the river to the Palace and old town again loads of small shops & cafes to explore.

You will enjoy it also the sail up the Baltic sea is very interesting with old fortresses left over from the war.
