  1. I brought my 3 year old nephew back on the boat with me when in Coco Cay (we have different last names), and there was no issues.
  2. So we just booked a Ocean View Panaorimic suite on Adventure of the Seas since this cabin holds up to 6 people. This will be our first time traveling as a family of 5, so I was surprised to see how they add the 5th person to the room. When I booked over the phone, I received 2 different confirmation numbers, the 1st one lists the 4 of us, and the 2nd one lists just our infant child. I called back and they told me that everything is fine and both are linked. Is this normal? If you have more than 4 people in a room that allows it, will you receive 2 different confirmation numbers?
  3. Thank you! Do you know if I will have to go to guest services, or would any bar be able to do it?
  4. The cutoff was yesterday to do so. I still haven't decided if I want to purchase the beverage package, just want to know if I will be able to onboard and not have to pay for her.
  5. We leave this Friday (12/1) on Allure just for the weekend. I wasn't planning on getting the beverage package since this last minute trip was going to be used more to just relax/spend some time in the spa. My wife is 21 weeks pregnant (so we just made this sailing), and now I'm thinking maybe I want to purchase the beverage package once onboard. I know it will be more money than if I purchased in advance, but will they still require me to purchase one for my wife? Or will I have to go to guest services to purchase the beverage package and tell them about our situation?
  6. It actually closed last night at midnight 😞 No worries though, now I know for next time.
  7. I should have taken your advice, it closed last night at midnight! Now I know for next time.
  8. I remember the cabana pricing from 2017/2018 era, you could get one for under $400. Now even the day bed prices have gone up drastically as well. I don't think they will ever go back to those low prices again.
  9. When is the absolute latest you can purchase packages/shore excursions in the cruise planner? When I called and spoke to 2 different people, I received 2 different answers. The first answer I heard was 48 hours before the ship sail date/time. So for our 12/1 cruise this Friday, the cruise planner would close at 4pm this Wednesday 11/29. The second answer I received is that it closes 3 days before the sail date, so using the same example of our 12/1 cruise, I was told the cruise planner will close at midnight on Tuesday 11/28. I know it's only a difference of a matter of hours, but we want to book our shore excursion at the latest we can to check on the weather. We got burned last November when we did a weekend trip and booked the shore excursion weeks in advance. As the date got closer we saw it was going to rain, we tried to cancel in cruise planner but it was closed by this point, so when we called we were told since it was so close to sail date we could go onboard to cancel. Well we went right to the shore excursion desk even before hitting the windjammer and we were told we couldn't cancel the shore excursion and it operates rain or shine. So we lost the money as we didn't want to go to a beach in the rain. So we just want to wait as late as possible to book. Do you think the cruise planner will close at midnight on Tuesday 11/28, or 4pm on Wednesday 11/29? TIA!
  10. The barcode trick has worked for us the past 3 times. I can confirm after our upcoming 12/1 cruise on the Allure if it still holds true, but I believe it will be. From what I understand, it is extremely rare for it to change unless you placed a Royal Up bid of course.
  11. We rented Breezy Bay daybeds and we did have a drink server come around (quite frequently) for drink orders. The food buffet is just a short walk away and the Snack Shack is practically next to the area. We prefer the Breezy Bay daybeds because of the good location to everything, including the pool.
  12. We'll be sailing on the Allure in 3 weeks so good to know there is another option to Sorrentos, thanks for sharing!
  13. We are also on the 12/1 sailing and were finally able to book the shows in cruise planner today.
  14. We just did an 8 night on Odyssey this past August and loved it. We were originally scheduled for the 9-night Greek Isles cruise but about 6 months before sailing we were informed that cruise had been chartered. So we had to move our cruise dates up a week and did the 8 nights. We didn't visit Athens or Crete which were on the original itinerary, but we still visited Santorini and Mykonos.
  15. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not really concerned about the brand as much as I'm concerned about the price. I'll just order through Royal Gifts to save some $$$
  16. I agree, for a short cruise a boardwalk balcony would suffice for me even though I do enjoy the ocean view. The price differences between the two are so far apart that sometimes I can't justify it. Bidding for Royal Up usually starts about 4-6 weeks before the sail date, keep an eye out for the email or log into the cruise planner from your computer and you may see the option listed.
  17. I would also continue with my plans, no need to worry.
  18. We booked a balcony guarantee on Oasis last August because we couldn't justify the dramatic price increase for an ocean view. We were assigned a central park balcony, but we submitted a bid of $75/each ($150 total) for an ocean view balcony through Royal Up and we won! So you may be able to upgrade that way for a lot less.
  19. We just booked a last minute weekend cruise on Allure for 12/1, and while in the cruise planner I noticed the price seemed quite expensive. On cruise planner, 12 bottles of Evian is $30.99 + gratuities and the price for 24 bottles is $54.99 + gratuities. However, I went over to the Royal Gifts section on RCL's main website, and I see the same 12 bottles of Evian to be only $19.99 and 24 bottles is $28.99. Why is there such a large price difference? I went ahead and ordered the water through Royal Gifts, but should I be worried this order may be cancelled or not fulfilled on day 1 of the sailing? Has anybody else noticed this price difference and purchased the water through Royal Gifts versus the Cruise Planner?
