  1. I did not receive any notice of the upgrade and only noticed it two weeks after it was done.
  2. I think this explains what happened as this was a re-book in January. And no I did not get my cabin back as it happened 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the information
  3. So once again Princess "upgraded" me to a cabin I don't want... Apparently cancelling 3 cruises last time they did this didn't send a loud enough message to them. My booking was supposed to be marked "Do Not Upgrade" but as I've learned I had a marginal CVP who obviously didn't do that and also have left the organization. Anyways, now that they charge you extra to pick your room does anyone know if this practice of moving you without asking or notification will stop? This is the most annoying thing about Princess. I've been on 7 other cruise lines and none of them do this. Will Princess stop moving you without notification now that you must PAY for picking your room?
  4. When they introduced Princess Plus and eliminated the Coffee Package, they stated this about old cards. Though your card has no date on it, it is expired Coffee cards are valid until the expiration date printed on the card. If NO expiration date is printed on the card it is valid until August 31, 2019.
  5. Any of the full ship charters will be this way as apparently that is what their target demographic wants. There are many gay groups that sail as a group on regular sailings. That won't be the party environment you want to avoid but it will be a standard sailing with families, kids, seniors, etc... I've done these group sailings before mainly because like you, I have no interest in a 24/7 gay party atmosphere. Perhaps with growing numbers of aging Boomer and GenX gays, someone will realize there comes a point in life where that gay party atmosphere is no longer the attraction it was when you were twentysomething. There may be a TA who can comment further on your options
  6. So a statement from Duffy and the implementation of drug sniffing dogs at ports and on the ships isn't adequate "data" for you as proof Carnival is having a problem with drug use on their ships?
  7. No, Princess isn't thrilled about passengers like you because Carnival Corporation is heading towards bankruptcy and they need all the revenue they can get.
  8. Yes, the cruise line is eager in anticipation on the bar, spa and casino revenue your children are going to generate.
  9. Both are tacky tourist traps wrapping themselves in the history of foreign countries; Skagway is all about the Klondike gold rush which was in Canada not Alaska. In Sitka you can learn about their past Russian history from people who have no Russian heritage. The scenery/wilderness is why you would go to either of these places, not for the actual towns. Skagway has the train which is nice *if* you have good weather.
  10. That email is probably screened by an admin assistant and won't be seen by your intended target. Senior management doesn't deal directly with customer satisfaction issues. They probably are more focused right now on things like the fact that the parent company stock is tanking, they can't get enough staff to operate the ships, they are drowning in debt and are at risk of bankruptcy within the next year or so.... So given those issues I think the "President" may be a bit too busy to respond directly to you, if at all...... Have you tried elevating to Customer Service?
