  1. Eli, Thank you so much for starting this thread. I did not think that I would be in this situation, but now I am. DW caught Covid 2 weeks ago and is still testing positive one week after all symptoms have disappeared. We are scheduled to board the Spirit to Alaska later this month, so I had her take an official Covid test today to be more than 10 days prior to departure. Enjoy your cruise on the Pride in Europe. We were booked on a B2B on Pride in August, but moved it to next year not wanting to deal with the current issues traveling abroad.
  2. The article says that Vicky Rey was involved. She is an amazing person who works for the Carnival Cruise Line brand, not corporate, so it was likely a Whale Tail ship.
  3. You apply the full value of the GC(s) to your account. If there is a balance remaining on the GC(s) after your account is settled, Carnival will send you a new GC with the remaining balance. We usually take gift cards with different balances and try to use a combination that most closely matches the balance due on our account.
  4. Almost all of my gift card refunds were delivered by Fedex. On one day, I received 5 different envelopes with one card per envelope all processed at the same time. The most recent refund was sent to my email as an eGift card.
  5. OP mentioned a Canada cruise. Canada is now requiring 2 day testing regardless of booster status for Alaska cruises stopping in Victoria. Unless Canada changes their rules before September, the 2 day rules should still apply. You also need to download and complete the ArriveCAN app.
  6. When DW used her 25th milestone benefit in 2014 and I used mine in 2015, it was 25% off the basic fare. We are now eligible for the 50th milestone, but the rules have since changed to OBC rather than a fare discount.
  7. Since Carnival gives you free access to their website while onboard, you can check your gift card balance on your smart phone while onboard and prove the balance to Guest Services should that be necessary.
  8. I was able to apply the $117 balance from a $500 gift card on Mardi Gras using a kiosk a few weeks ago. Sounds like Guest Services gave you incorrect information.
  9. We were told that the Captain cannot attend this and similar functions due to Covid protocols that limit the Captain's exposure to others in order to minimize his chance of catching Covid.
