  1. You would never say so based on Flight Aware. These are flights going in and out of Heathrow today. You can see USA air traffic by dragging the image across. https://flightaware.com/live/airport/EGLL
  2. Solent Richard are you able to determine from your friend's FB why the QM2 has turned 180 and heading back north east?
  3. No Roy, a friend in Ramsgate was able to take it with a telephoto lens 🙂
  4. Passing Margate KZN at 11:20 local time; distance approx: 32 klms. Pushing a leisurely 23.4 kts. One wonders when we will see her again in our waters? Godspeed to the Captain, crew and remaining passengers!
  5. Yes. Certainly was. QM2 is finally under way. Left port at 05:30 UTC. 7:30 Local time. Its course appears to be non-stop Southampton.
  6. Listening to our evening news a short while ago it was a false positive result. In fact little emphasis placed on this fact except to say that one individual was subsequently cleared. The QM2 has now been given the all clear, the six South Africans disembarked and they are now refuelling and re-provisioning for what may be a quick turnaround depending on the refuelling time.
  7. QM2 is on the move again. Following extract appeared in www.africaports.co.za on Sunday. CRUISE AND SHIP PORT MOVEMENTS DUE TO COVID-19 Queen Mary 2 in Durban on a previous visit. Picture: Trevor Jones DURBAN QUEEN MARY 2 Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 arrived off Durban on Thursday 26 March and, in an unusual action for the Queen, went to anchor outside port at the anchorage opposite Umhlanga. By Friday midday the ship, which has always been welcomed by crowds of Durbanites even in the days when access to the North Pier was heavily restricted, remained in this position
  8. Agree. Course is almost due south at 14 knts. Vessel Finder now shows her ETA as 29 Mar at 05h00. Interesting her short little journey north. Could it be similar to QE's little trip a few days ago in sorting out bilge and grey water?
  9. Quite intriguing! She continues her NE track at +/- 10 knts and is now at least 100 klm from Durban. Wonder whether she is aiming for Richards Bay, another deep water port in northern KZN?
  10. QM2 currently anchored off Durban. See https://www.vesselfinder.com/ South Africa is is on Day 1 of a 21 day lock down which i understand extends to all ports which are closed to cruise ships. Will be interesting to see whether they allow her in for refuelling.
