  1. Do you have a Roth IRA? If not, and your adjusted gross income is below $122,000 you can contribute up to $6000 in 2019 up until July 15 (the new tax deadline for 2019) into a Roth IRA. The great thing about a Roth IRA is that our money grows tax free and there are no taxes on your withdrawals in retirement. https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/investing/what-is-a-roth-ira Then go to an online broker, I use Vanguard (Roth IRA) and TD Ameritrade (taxable account), and open up a Roth IRA. After you link your bank accounts with your brokerage, you will be able to buy stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and more. Of course, you can do all of the above in a taxable brokerage account, but that should be your last resort since you will pay taxes on capital gains. Please post again if you have any questions as many people here are willing to help.
  2. CCL is up around $10 in pre-market trading. Could see a pop today due to a short squeeze. I also think the secondary offering is ultimately a good thing as it will keep CCL afloat (sorry for the pun) during these rough seas (sorry, not sorry).
  3. I don't know. But I will add to my position if it goes to $6.
  4. It hit $7.90 on March 18th. I shorted it from $12.62 the other day and covered today for a nice profit. Just purchased 100 shares at $8.68 because....why not? Oh wait...bankruptcy. I don't think that's going to happen though.
  5. I'm in for 100 shares at $8.10. Looking for another good entry point to double up so that I can sell 1/2 for a profit down the road...that is...if CCL doesn't go bankrupt.
  6. Can't wait for our April cruise! In fact, I might even be rooting a little bit for schools to close so I can book a few back-to-back cruises to extend the vacay! Prices have never been lower.
  7. We booked our 4/11/20 cruise on the Epic using Chase Ultimate Reward points (nearly free cruise....yay). We have 70 days to go and have not received an upgrade offer. Can anyone confirm if it is still possible to get upgrade offers after booking an NCL cruise using Chase Ultimate Reward points through the Chase portal?
  8. We are currently on the Sky and will update this thread if we hear anything about the 8/31 cruise. We have to disembark the ship here in Miami and can then re-board and stay on overnight. We are required to disembark by 6am tomorrow (Saturday) though.
  9. That wasn't my experience when our wine (2 bottles) was taken from our luggage this past April. The process was quite simple...walk down to the mid-ship dining room, pay the corkage fee, and they returned our wine for us to enjoy in our cabin.
  10. We're sailing on the NCL Sky out of Miami on 8/26. Here is the itinerary: Mon, 8/26: Miami Tues, 8/27: Key West Wed, 8/28: Freeport Thurs, 8/29: Nassau Fri, 8/30: Great Stirrup Cay Sat, 8/31: Miami Any thoughts on potential impacts on this cruise?
  11. I kept it in our cabin (inside cabin) and just leaned it up against the wall. One of my concerns was that the bike might be in the way of the cabin steward, but it really didn't take up much space.
  12. I had no problem bringing my fat tire mtb on a Norwegian cruise to Bermuda in 2016. I called ahead to inquire about bringing the bike on the ship, and to my surprise it was no big deal at all.
