  1. Nothing officially confirmed and I have seen the deck plans and some of the renderings. I believe there is conflicting information being published: On the Carnival website "compare ships" feature, the Java Blue Cafe is one of the venues that is listed as NOT an option (indicative of the "X") for the upcoming Mardi Gras. This is also documented for the Red Frog Rum Bar, the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar, and the Carnival Deli. BUT THE DECK PLANS/RENDERINGS SUGGEST THAT SOME OF THESE VENUES WILL BE AVAILABLE...
  2. This will be a first of many for us... New ship, new ports, etc... CCL definitely has me on the edge with anticipation for each announcement!! I just ignore the naysayers and chalk it up to "ship envy"... Ha! Never would have imagined such a thing!!
  3. I've seen the deck plans and renderings which may require a call for more confirmation depending on the type of reference method or research conducted. I am just excited as a new ship further feeds my planning OCD, lol!! HAPPY CRUISING!!!

  6. Your statement (re: the Icebar) is exactly what I was thinking. Remember, there won't be a Red Frog Rum Bar or a Blue Iguana Tequila Bar on the Mardi Gras. There has to be a new venue to replace these staples.
  7. If it helps, the Freedom has just recently completed another dry dock process. I'm not sure what changes/updates have been made, but definitely worth looking into as you're considering.
  8. The cost of Cheers could also be considered if you purchase the package with the AARP gift cards at the (10%) discount rate. 8-day cruise w/ Cheers is (approximately) $980 (w/gratuities) + discount gift cards (10% off) = $880
  9. The Redfrog Pub on the Breeze also has a menu of appetizers called "pub grub" (for a small fee). The food was good, the atmosphere is awesome!! The food items are listed on the last page of the attached menu. There is also an outside seating area with a swing that is really cool (especially during the evenings)!! redfrog-pub-brewery-menu.pdf
  10. I know there is a discount on services as an amenity with the spa cabin. Would you happen to have an idea of the price for the service you selected? Thanks in advance!!
  11. It seems like your priority is a European itinerary. I will be on the Mardi Gras (10/2020) next year with an eastern Caribbean itinerary. I think if the ship factored in your personal appeal, you would be willing to travel on the Mardi Gras (despite the itinerary) during your actual anniversary date. For that reason, I suggest choosing the Legend (12 day). For the occasion and itinerary, you can't lose either way. Happy Anniversary/Cruising!!!
  12. Which night is "Elegant Night" on a typical five day cruise? Thanks in advance!
