One result of requiring an ETA at boarding would be to discourage individuals living in the UK without authorization from taking cruises!

The OP is correct. There certainly are a lot of recent, bad QE reviews. What to make of this? My wife and I were on QE last year and it was good to very good.

Princess. For an additional $60 a day I can get a full beverage package, internet, gratuities and food and drinks delivered to me anywhere on the ship. -

I haven't sailed with Oceania yet, but other ships I've been on have had many phones in public areas, and I'm sure if it was urgent you could ask someone at a desk to use theirs.

I probably complicated this by translating the OP's "package" to "documents". Post #6 looks like a good description.
