Well, hello Sweet Miss Camilla! It is nice to be able to put a face to the name. We will pray that your journey through this world will be smoother and so much more fun than has been your introduction into it.

  2. Good afternoon, thanks for the Daily and our entertainment and education each day.

As always, prayers for those with a need, and cheers to those with a cause.

Much sympathy to those dealing with the extreme temps. Stay safe and hydrated, please.

We've been to HMC twice, and look forward to more visits to come. It is a favorite place for two who are not exactly beach bunnies.

I don’t know if I am asking too much but I am asking everyone to think of and pray for Joe the husband of our recently passed Yonnie (Krazy Kruziers aka KK).  I have found out he is in Critical Care at the hospital.  I have no idea of what.  The only thing my friend was told was that when he was able they would let him know that she called.

I fear his demise is near.  He is alone without KK, no family nearby.  My heart is sad for him tonight 💔

Our prayers for God's comfort for Joe and those hurting on his behalf.

We stopped in Puerto Chacabuco, Chile, which is a small industrial port, while on our 2018 Ryndam South American cruise.  We took an excursion which involved a bus ride through rural Patagonia.  We first stopped at a waterfall and then at a small museum along the Simpson River. Before stopping at the city of Coyhaique, we stopped at an overview where we could look down on the city and the surrounding countryside. After spending 30 minutes walking around the town, we had a light lunch prior to returning to the ship.

  5. Good morning, and thanks for the Daily!

    Thank you, Roy.

Today's port will (hopefully) be a stop on what we hope will be the next cruise off of our bucket list. Thanks for all of the pictures, never get enough.

@Seasick Sailor, looks like it was worth waiting for. Very nice.

Cheers to @mamaofami for the jab and getting Sam home!

Please stay safe and healthy and have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Good morning, and as always, thanks for the Daily!

    Cheers for @smitty34877's Tana!

We again thank everyone for sharing their memories and experiences with the different ports of the day, so many places that we'll likely never visit. We do so enjoy seeing what you've seen!

Much appreciation to all for the kind responses yesterday. We talked to Lynny's boyfriend Daniel last night and to this point the news is that she is holding steady, but so far has not shown voluntary response to stimuli. They are unable to yet determine the extent of the damage to her brain. He passes along their gratitude for the prayers and positive thoughts. We second that. Thanks to each of you for being such caring people.

Our prayers for everyone with a need and congrats to those with a cause.

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy and has a great Hump Day!

  7. Good morning. As always, thanks for the Daily! A request for prayers for our neighbor's girlfriend, please. We learned last night that she was crossing the street Sat. evening and was hit by a young man driving at a high rate of speed, who then fled. Her name is Lynny Poell. She is 26 and last we heard she is in critical care and non-responsive. Her family believes in the power of prayer, and we know that it moves through this thread regularly.

Stay safe and healthy. Hope everyone has a great day.

@kazu Jacqui - thank you for keeping my DH Ron on the "Cares" list for so long. It may sound strange, but he can now move to the "Celebrations" list. He died peacefully  on Tuesday morning and is no longer in any pain. If there are cruise ships in Heaven, I know he is at the Ocean Bar drinking an espresso martini!  Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support during our journey.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss, and we'll pray for God's comfort for you and all those who loved your Ron.

Since Seattle is the port of the day, I was wondering...has anyone stayed at a hotel there that they really liked a lot -- or seen one that they wished they had booked instead?  We usually are Hilton brand loyalists, but I'm not totally convinced for our upcoming Alaska cruise.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.  I've looked elsewhere here on CC but to no avail.

We spent pre and post cruise nights in 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn on Boren St. It's a bit out of the way compared to some, but it is 15 - 20 min. walk to Pike Place Market or the Space Needle and was a nice area for strolling. We used the car service that the hotel works with travelling to and from the airport and Pier 91.

  11. Good afternoon, and thanks for the Daily!

Sympathies on having to fight with insurance. Never fun, but so often forced upon us.

Our prayers for all who are dealing with medical issues, and their loved ones.

We sailed from Seattle two years ago, our first experience on the Oosterdam.

We mainly hiked the nearby woodland paths, stopped by the Thorn Crown Chapel, see photo (not mine).  Then wandered around town in the evening.  Some of the distressed properties were boarded up but likely that could have happened pre-pandemic.

The Chapel is beautiful, thanks for sharing. And there were some distressed properties when we were there, also. Thanks for the update.
