  1. LOL... that was my thought. A ticket is a ticket... passengers be damned! These old legs don't move as fast as they used to! Would rather sit in a lounge or gate and stiffen up, than running. Is there more than one terminal in Montreal? Didn't see any info re this. Also factoring in a March blizzard.
  2. Connecting in Montreal from Toronto, for international flight. How much time should we allow ?
  3. They'd be smart to settle up before the Middle East ramps up any further..... or another pandemic rears it's ugly head......
  4. I'd be interested in knowing how this compound pharmacy obtains Meclizine to compound with other drugs for a different transportation mode. Anyone with ideas?
  5. Grrrrrreat...... I'm toast.... if it's March or April, then I'm a fool for being an AC supporter!!!!!
  6. Here's a photo of common Italian antinausea options. Maybe someone who speaks Italian could translate. I know one of them is Gravol. https://www.farmaciaitalia.it/en/26-nausea-seasickness-and-motion-sickness
  7. Brazilian gouvernement says start date is Jan 10, 2024 https://www.gov.br/mre/pt-br/consulado-toronto/visas/visitor-visa
  8. Sorry folks, but Pfizer discontinued it, and another company picked up the patent for making injectable only.(Omega Labs). The above link mentioned is Gravol, we would take 1 (25mg) tabs or 1 50mg tablets, or 1 100mg long acting. We sell chewable, suppositories, tablets, caplets, and gel caps, but no gum. The Gravol with ginger does not contain the active ingredient that Gravol does (dimenhydrinate), therefore you are looking at herbal stuff
  9. Didn't need anything for full transit.
  10. ^^ This is accurate. You can not buy Scopolamine from Amazon or the internet. The patches other poster is referring to is herbal, no pharmaceutical active ingredient in it. Scopolamine was discontinued in Canada a few years ago.
  11. Airport hotel, or hotel with shuttle back to airport...dinner and shopping.
  12. ^^gnome 12 is correct, which includes if you have recently had Covid. They also say you can get yearly flu shot at same time as Covid booster (NOT something I would do). I'll be getting the flu shot, but really debating on another Covid shot. (had 5).... it's a wait and see with these two old coggers.
  13. "Sea Legs" happen to me no matter what. I'm a terrible sailor, and absolutely love it, so I still do it.
  14. The great brain drain started a few decades back. A ton of our doctors said goodbye to sunnier locals and sweeter salaries,( and no ridiculous capping) nurses said take this job and shove it and left the profession during and after Covid, or went to US for better pay for same abuse. So I say keep the pilots happy, stop the downgrading of their needed training and experience and keep them flying happy and skilled, and two in the cockpit!!!!
  15. I see cruise lines are moving some cruises around to avoid area. Think I would still be nervous anywhere in that general area. Same with flying.
  16. With world climate, and protests re Middle East, any thoughts if cancellation/travel/medical insurance will be negated if cruise cancelled due to violence or war, or injuries received in port from protesters? Thoughts??
  17. I say give them what they are asking for. Keep them happy and in Canada! If world events continue to deteriorate, we all may not be flying again for awhile. We don't need anymore of our pilots leaving for greener pastures!!!
  18. I heard Moderna will be available first and Pfizer towards end of October, but ??????????
  19. Used 3 different TA companies and built a relationship with one or two agents over 30 years. All trips except for two had "issues", so I stopped using and started doing it all by myself with excellent results (I got exactly what I wanted x 20 years). You have to work at it though. Keep notes, research, remember what you learn along the way, and stay organized, print out everything, and ask questions. Don't forget cruise line agents you get, might be no better than the last disastrous TA you had, just keep working through them until you get a good one (pandemic caused havoc in this industry). Not all the newbies know the correct answers, so if it feels strange to you, call back and speak to someone different.
  20. I have a long history with Scopolamine patch (Transform V). I have used it for many cruises. There were side effects, which for me were far better than Mal d'mer! I had one very strange day, so scary, I never used it again, and began to fully understand why the US did not approve. As I aged, it became more important "not" to use again. When we were planning the North Atlantic cruise,(August) I visited the idea once again, both with GP, cardiologist and 3 pharmacists. ALL told me, it's "no longer available in Canada, Americans were smart never to have approved it". It had it's uses historically preoperatively, and on the QT for palliative care, but not for routine population use. I'll be honest, it worked really well for me, but you actually had to be very careful, and was not to be used for longer than one week at a time. Cruisers just slapped a disc on and did whatever (me included), but we were playing Russian roulette with it...LOL live and learn. Bonine/Meclizine does zero for me.Promethazine/Phenergen does zero for me.Antivert/Benadryl/Dramamine all zero. Gravol works slightly, but I have felt sicker with it. Gravol without active ingredient is probably psychological also. My go to is...... seabands, whether it help psychological or not, zero alcohol, fresh air, no coffee, cold fresh food, lie down til the swells change. Good luck... I feel your anxiety!! Here's to calm winds.
  21. I absolutely love Dornoch, but it's been a few years since I've stayed there. As an excursion? I really don't think there is much of a draw here for that. You could have a lunch, and see the church or the "castle" which is really a hotel, or the few shops, but not much else. The beach is glorious and golf club nice too, but not so good for mobile impaired. I'm nervous of those Highland Drives, because that's often just what it is. On the bus the whole time.
  22. To my understanding this is no different than the ETIA's Australia has been requiring for years? It was simple, pay online, and they attach a file onto your passport electronically. You never see anything other than a confirmation. The Aussie on the other end sees the information when your passport is entered upon arrival. ETIA web site has been saying "it's starting"... for months... One of the useless Cdn news stations stated it was starting in October.... I've been told, "forget about it for now, it's been talked about and plans in the making but they are no where ready to initiate, will be months if not a few years".... So ???????
  23. Does that included sparkling water via a can vs a mini bottle??
  24. Satin ticket wallets, Lincoln Center, candied ginger from the Yum Yum Man.
