We plan to be in Venice 2 days prior to our cruise leaving Nov 1 from Trieste. We are planning to take the train also. Do you have any information or hints to help? We're thinking of walking from the train station to the port if the weather is agreeable. Is that a good idea? It looks like a short distance if it would be safe and easy to find. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Where is the onboard drop- off for carry on bags to be stored until our cabin is ready? We've seen this option on other NCL ships. It's so nice not to have to keep up with bags for several hours. Thanks for any information.

We had a wonderful time on our tour of Barcelona! It was all good but my favorite was Park Guell. It was amazing to see and to think of the ingenuity, planning, and labor involved in creating all of the beautiful works of art. Joan was an excellent guide, with a wonderful enthusiasm for sharing Barcelona and information to help us understand and appreciate all we saw! He was also so kind to offer to take photos of us, so we could have wonderful memories of our day in Barcelona! Thanks to Aurelio, for help with information to book the tour and correspondence to confirm meeting place and time for pickup. If we are blessed to return to Spain, we will certainly not hesitate to check with you for tour information.

Did you find a good restaurant you can recommend? We may look for dinner there. It doesn't have to be a fancy dinner...just good Italian food...reasonably priced.

We read great reviews of the hotel. We plan to take the ship's transfer to the airport. We've already made a reservation for the hotel boat to pick us up from there. They'll also offer free transport to the airport when we fly home. I've tried to research the different vaporetto stops for the quickest transport between Venice and Murano. We actually plan to go for the day to Venice, not going back and forth between islands. Hoping this plan works out like we plan! Enjoy your cruise and time there! We leave Southampton on Oct 14..

Do you get out of the vehicle on the Barcelona City Tour a lot, or is it a lot of 'drive by' sight seeing? I like to be able to see and take pictures, which is hard to do through a window.

Thank you so much for this information! I've tried to search in so many ways to find out precisely where the Dawn docks in each port! I read about the city boat and it sounds much better than a shuttle or bus option. Thanks again for your help!

Does anyone know which pier in Ibiza this ship uses? We are going this fall. Apparently some ships dock close to Ibiza town and others are a bus/shuttle ride away. Thanks for any help!

We're on the NCL Dawn. Also hoping to go to Soulac sur Mer. Would love to know if NCL offers a shuttle to the bus station.

I agree. There seems to be no way for a DIY day without a shuttle.
