I was shocked when I saw the cost over there for this year, pretty sure it’s doubled in the last 5 years or so since my mum first got her bin. Ours is 65 this year, but we have to buy the bin.

I got up the hill, had to keep stopping though, & then at the top I went to take my inhaler & discovered it wasn’t in my bag!! 🙁 Some steady breathing took pretty much care of that, but my blood pressure was very high unsurprisingly, luckily I’d been taking it myself all week & gave her my sheet of readings so they can do an average, hopefully it’ll turn out to be not so bad. Now that songs in my head thanks for that. 😂

Morning, talking of cholesterol, off for my annual (well last one was 4 years ago!! ) blood test & mot in a bit, have been taking blood pressure readings all week as since my last asthma review this time last year it’s always been high when they’ve taken it, but if I sit quietly at home it’s much lower. I’ve got to walk up a very steep hill, hopefully it’s not icy or I’ll be sliding back home very inelegantly. Also hoping I’ve got enough puff to get up it of course! Keep warm every one.

Good morning. Had frost this morning & quite icy on my early walk but I managed to stay upright! I’m home alone with just the dog, ds started his new job this morning, I’m assuming the train got him there as I’ve not heard from him. Going to brave the roof in a bit to actually put the decorations up there, dh was up there looking for something over Xmas so I’m hoping he’s not moved too much! Wish me luck! Had a girls trip to Devon overnight last week to see Xmas displays at Killerton & Powderham castle, had a lovely time, stopped at Tavistock for lunch & shopping & stayed overnight in Chagford. All the way back down to landsend, Then up to Bournemouth Friday to pick up ds.Stayed with sister in Devizes over night as we’ve actually not seen them for over a year. Now just come down with you know what this morning! 😫 More worried that we might have passed it on to elderly & just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage 4 neighbour, ( testing before seeing them obviously).

@Angel57 I tried to my 20 year old son to get a tickets with his uni friends , but he hadn’t a clue who he was 🤣.

Currently windy (thanks @purplesea😂). Managed to get some lights up outside yesterday. One of the trees is ready to decorate, have vacuumed it & the decs are ready to go on, however I’m having a coffee & procrastinating for a while…..

We’re going to Trengwainton on Friday for the Xmas lights, if you could do a Tesco order for no wind & dry that evening unlike today’s order that would be great! 🤣🤣🍷

It’s started snowing, which is pretty rare for down here!

Morning, it’s pouring with rain here & a bit windy, chilly too. We went out to a local pub with friends last night and had a lovely evening 6 of us ( sorry forgot to take photos) food was delicious had 3 courses which is unheard of for me, garlic & lemon shell on prawns, steak cooked just right followed by 2 scoops of local ice cream yum. We realised it’s exactly a year since we got together last, how crazy is that? Have a good day everyone, wrap up warm & take care out those with snow & ice.

It’s meant to have been 0% chance of rain the last 3 days so naturally we have had showers every day 😅. Good news, my dear friend has been given the all clear from lymphoma after a year of chemotherapy, stem cell treatment & radiotherapy, she’s been pretty ill, but so determined to get well. We’re all so relieved as you can imagine. Well on the job front eldest ds has had 2 job offers one with the council (2 year contract yet again) and dwp, but not Penzance which was his first choice as he doesn’t have a car, he’s excepted both provisionally, see which one actually gets the paperwork sorted 🤔. Meanwhile I’ve booked Wightlink ferry for our January Birthday/Xmas family get together, annoyingly only 20% off this year for Black Friday which is typical as my sister tells me it’s normally 50% & you could use it all all year. Clearly they knew I was coming. 😚 Have a good day everyone.
