  1. Enjoying your cruise log, thank you for taking us along with you!
  2. Agreed! Having a large coffee now to help with the stress.
  3. Can’t actually remember the last I went to Truro! More than three years anyway blimey 😧
  4. No Greg’s down this way, but had one last year in Bournemouth for the first time & pretty impressed actually,
  5. Not raining, buts it’s pretty windy. Was meant to be helping my friend with catering at her brothers clay shoot today, but the weather has cancelled that, so there goes my pocket money:( we’ll have to brave sainsburys later as we’re just about out of loo rolls & milk 😬. Have a lovely cruise @SarahHben, hopefully the weather will improve quickly for you.
  6. Have a great cruise Sarah! Sorry to hear you’re still in hospital Sharon, hopefully you’ll be out soon & looking to book a well deserved cruise! Avril, I totally sympathise with you cat wise, our neighbours cat also loves our garden to use as its litter tray, and Luna our dog think it’s a great snack!….🤮 There’s not too many trees in our valley apart from sycamore’s & we didn’t have squirrels until very recently, he loves to climb on our roof you can hear him with his hob nail boots on up there, worryingly we’ve noticed he’s actually gnawing the lead round the chimney, odd snack! Have a good day everyone.
  7. So so sorry Michelle, it’s heartbreaking, but you made the right decision. All the best, lots of hugs.xx
  8. Enjoy! Glad you’re back, will be following. 🍹
  9. Good point Harry. changing the subject I’ve baked the carrot cake & scotch eggs & as the kitchen was already a mess & to fill up the oven I wiped up a tray of heavy cake. The kitchen is now clean again after a ton of washing up ( no dishwasher, he’s at work!)
  10. Warm & sunny here, going to make some scotch eggs ( oven not deep fried)& carrot cake in a bit, planning on a picnic tea at the bottom of our valley under Cape Cornwall. Pollens really high, so won’t be in the garden for a while.
  11. Windy & grey down here today, had a light spot of rain last night. Well ds is off on his first flight today, going to Rhodes with his gf. Flying from Bristol, she lives near bath, he’s a worrier & it seems she’s been overpacking because I’ve had messages back & forth about her luggage weight. She’s now taken out her shampoo etc & hopefully she’ll be able get what she needs at boots once through! I think I’ll still to cruising from Southampton if I ever go anywhere again , can’t be doing with that hassle. 😅
  12. Sunny & less wind today. Just met my 2 friends for a long overdue coffee & charity shop rummage. We used to work together at the primary school & cruised with our Dh’s several times, first time since my friend started her chemo last sept we’ve all met up.
  13. @DamianG looks a lovely spot, dogs have had a great time together!
  14. We go Lymmington to Yarmouth, staying at Compton Farm, got 15% discount otherwise would have been over £300! Not even a Saturday travel. Warners must have a massive arrangement with them. My sister ant even get £60 return island resident with NHS discount for staff ( she works at Portsmouth & Newport). Still looking forward to a break away. Had enough of this Bp cuff now I’m left handed & cooking dinner, getting washing in etc uncomfortable, it’s rubbing. Poor soul 😩
  15. Just booked ferry for our I O W trip in June, it’s gone up £100 since last year! That’s several of our meals out! Currently wearing blood pressure monitor for 12 hrs so trying not to get to het up about the cost! 😫
  16. Dense fog here, all the neighbours & st just have disappeared, either that or they were blasted from the volume from the concert last night, DH cranked up the amp! Thoroughly enjoyed it, yes some voices not so strong live, but I’ve heard worse Paul Mc Cartney a few years back at Glastonbury for instance.
  17. We had a walk yesterday pm along Penzance prom to Newlyn as it was foggy at home, then picked up fish n chips for tea as that seemed the British thing to do. Later we watched Johnny English, seemed appropriate.😅
  18. 😱👀 When we were kids & we had Sunday tea it was butter, jam then cream (not clotted though being on the I OW)! My DH is Cornish & still asks which way I don’t think think he had such things growing up, his mum didn’t cook. 😄
