  1. ...and after Silversea thanked them for their understanding! Such ungrateful passengers!
  2. Venetian society this evening? Outstanding! Could you livestream it?
  3. I hadn't seen any notification about this change but thought I'd check, as I was about to book our pre-boarding tests. https://www.silversea.com/lp-silversea-hrts-consumer-10.html "To embark on a Silversea vessel, all guests aged 12 and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least two weeks before embarking on the vessel. Guests must bring proof of vaccination or boarding will be denied." "Guests embarking on a Silversea vessel who are fully vaccinated or up-to-date are no longer required to present a negative PCR or Antigen test." The guidance gives a link https://www.chile.travel/en/traveltochileplan/ to the Chilean government travel site which was updated on 30 September "At the time of embarking to Chile, the person must comply with the following: Certificate of vaccination issued in the country where he/she was vaccinated. If the traveler does not have the vaccination schedule for their country, they must show a negative result in a PCR test within a maximum of 48 hours from departure. Those who are under 18 years of age do not have any requirements to enter Chile." and in the FAQs, the website clarifies "Do I need a mobility pass to travel within Chile? According to current regulations, you only need a Mobility Pass to enter Rapa Nui." Obviously no-one should accept advice from some random guy on the internet so check it yourselves, folks! Johnny
  4. If Silversea is, indeed, about to overhaul its entertainment offering, it's not before time. Some of the young singers are very good indeed but it must be soul-destroying for them having to perform what is, basically, Karaoke. As for the "band", every ship seems to have an identikit copy of the same group, playing the same set list without any excitement or swing (even the DJs seem to have the same play-list!). After a few Silversea cruises, our most recent was on Seabourn. What a difference! In addition to doing their own shows, the band accompanied the ship's singers as well as backing the guest entertainers - for which they had to rehearse new material at least every other day. What a delight having accomplished musicians able to showcase their individual and collective talents! Although over the years we've actually spent more time on Silversea than Seabourn, that's because of Silversea's expedition programme. It is still the case that when we embark on a Seabourn vessel, it feels like we're coming home and that's in no small part due to the entertainment.
  5. Will this material not be on mysilversea?
  6. This is horrific! "a financial account number, a username and/or password for an on-line account" Does this username and/or password relate to a silversea account or the "financial account"
  7. You're going to Tobago. It'll be lovely.
