  1. If you are flying domestic, have Pre-check, and no bags to check, and are using a taxi or Uber, 11:00 should be a very safe bet. If you are using a transfer from the cruise line, they may not allow it for anyone leaving before 11:30.

We had a cruise in the spring where the ship's clearance was delayed and disembarkation didn't begin until close to 9:00 for the first walk-off group.  I wouldn't book anything earlier than 11:00 for domestic or 12:00 for international unless I was comfortable with dealing with a missed flight.

My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is the OP is asking something like “if we get Covid while sailing, will we be kicked off, stranded in another country and forced to book expensive last minute airfare home?”

Ive never heard of anyone getting kicked off due to Covid, you quarantine on the ship and in some cases and stay on for another sailing but idk the current rules

It was required by a number of countries in Europe that passengers with COVID be disembarked and quarantine on land if they tested positive for Covid during a cruise. There was a thread on the Royal Caribbean board by one family with young kids disembarked mid-cruise and stuck in a hotel for quite some time. Regulations are changing quickly now.  I'd look into each destination country if I were the OP and had concerns.

True but it isn't as straightforward (you have to know what to enter in all the fields) as checking it 7 days out.  If the ship is on a routine 7 day schedule for the season one can also determine the likely terminal by looking earlier or just asking on the forum for the cruise line.  Of course on embarkation day the staff at the security gates will have the terminal information and there are large signs with the terminal assignments at the gates.

The only fields you need to complete in the query are “Show All” for the Query Option and a start and end date

  4. Odds are good, but if clearance to disembark is delayed and there are long lines at security and also to check bags, it could be tight if you don't have pre-check or airline status to minimize those wait times.

Are you flying domestic or international?  Will you have to check bags?

We had a cruise in Fort Lauderdale last March where we were in the first group to walk off but it was almost 9:00 before we were able to leave the ship due to delays in clearance.

Anyone know when it will be known (or how to find out) what terminal the Reflection will be using in Pt Everglades this coming season - since we're about 3 weeks out now.

In February I can't recall the terminal number, but it was one where there was no parking, and you had to take a shuttle to/from a parking garage near other terminals. It was a Saturday-Saturday schedule then, now it's Sunday-Sunday. I REALLY hope that they'll be at a different terminal this time so that we can skip the "fun" shuttle process !

I don’t understand why you have to bother checking every night if you go to the same dining room at the same time that’s a real pain in the butt for the passenger and then the whole cruise experience supposed to be to make life easier for the passenger while they’re on vacation? Who wants to wait in line do you have the same table you just go there every night I don’t understand why I was checking it is needed constantly

One possibility is that the table might not be ready if the people dining before you took longer than expected.

Absolutely not correct. It's maybe just a few dollars more per day for the convenience of port parking at port everglades.

We used Park 'n Go as well.

If you go frequently the repeat cruises get a night free after a while.

Park ‘n Go is currently quoting $15 a night for late November whether booked ahead or not

  8. I made bids on two categories about 5 weeks out from embarkation. I received an email saying “ your bid was not accepted” 30 days before sailing. When I looked at the bid site it showed one bid expired and one pending.  I went into the cruise personalizer and looked at the Travel Summary and Luggage Tags and was able to see a new cabin assignment. It took another day before I received the email telling me my bid was accepted.

What information do you think would be helpful? You've got covid. Stay in your cabin.  You said Princess should know what to do after all this time in dealing with covid. So should you. Why do you need documentation as to when you tested positive, boarded, and disembarked? Just report the illness to your healthcare provide if you think it will help.

Seems like a lot of unnecessary hand-wringing if you ask me.

Documentation would be important for a travel insurance claim

  10. I am also confused by this package. The terms seem to be the same as the regular beverage package - “the package can’t be shared” and the option for purchase lists each passenger individually.

Does that mean that a couple traveling together each have to buy a minimum of 3 bottles and drink from separate bottles of wine at dinner?

It doesn’t seem logical so I’d appreciate clarification
