  1. Are they conducting any fitness classes in the morning or afternoon?
  2. I was able to sign up for one cooking class thanks to the perseverance of my TA. We are on the Splendor in November. Regent said that classes will be small to allow for social distancing. If you are on later it may be easier. On your Regent account you should be able to press the cooking class button to see what is available on your cruise.
  3. If you want to use your Shareholder Benefit for shore excursions, book the excursions in the usual way before the cruise. Then when you get onboard go to front desk. They will change the form of payment and credit your credit card.
  4. Normally my husband takes a sport jacket or two. For our World Cruise he will take his tux. If he messes it up, there is always dry cleaning on the ship. I will take a couple of fancy tops, a short cocktail dress, and a long dress. This should give me some options.
  5. The Grandeur Roll Call is up and running, but so far very few people have joined. We are booked on the Grandeur's maiden voyage as well. We are very excited, but have a number of cruises, including the 2022 world cruise to enjoy before.
  6. Thank you Flossie for the great pictures. We will crossing the equator on our 2022 World Cruise.
  7. When we arrive in Miami on Dec. 7 after our Splendor TA, Regent will be responsible for getting us to the airport on time and they made the flight reservation so I hope they gave us enough time.
  8. That is really good to know. Our next two cruises are not in Penthouse. In the past Regent said that if you are not in Penthouse and booked through a TA, then you have to give the list to your TA. Our TA (we no longer use them) said they don't do that so we just told our room steward when we got on the ship. That worked just fine. Regent seems to have changed their procedure, so I will contact them prior to our next cruise. It is still nice to have the list to know what our choices are.
  9. If you have a Penthouse suite or above, they give you a list to pick from in advance of your boarding the ship. It is on your reservation from the time you pay your deposit. Here it is: Premium Brands VODKA Absolut Absolut Citron Absolut Lime Belvedere Beluga Noble Grey Goose Ketel One Smirnoff Stolichnaya Tito’s Gluten Free Van Gogh Espresso Van Gogh Chocolate BOURBON Jack Daniel’s Jack Daniel’s Rye Jack Daniel’s Honey Jim Beam Maker’s Mark Wild Turkey CANADIAN WHISKEY Canadian Club Crown Royal Seagram’s V.O. 10. You may want to check with Regent again. Sometimes it makes sense to call them again to put a bee in their bonnet! It can be as simple as they forgot to contact you and you won't see it on your reservation until a month or two before your cruise.
  11. Mrstanley, overall were you happy with the cruise. It is somewhat unclear based on your last statement of "happy to fly back to USA".
  12. Regent could not be clearer with that last statement. I suspect there will be warnings first, but if someone is belligerent then it is bye bye cruiser.
  13. They use the same technology at our gym. It worked great. Are you wearing any kind of sensors so they can keep track of where you are and who you are near?
  14. Let me just say, they will bring you more if you ask nicely!!
  15. We have truly enjoyed all of the enrichment lectures we had on Regent. When we sailed on the Navigator from NYC to Iceland each lecture focused on the history of the area we would visit the following day. The entertainment, for the most part, has been wonderful. Sometimes they have a singer on for a couple of days, who gets such a positive response, that they keep them for the rest of the segment. On one cruise, they had a singer who had done a number of Broadway shows. He was great. We were lucky enough to have dinner with him and since I am a theater geek I had lots of fun picking his brain for Broadway stories.
  16. Does anyone have a more detailed itinerary? We are curious what ports are in-between because we are on the whole world cruise. Thanks in advance.
  17. They will definitely have special on port days as well as specials if you have multiple treatments. The tip is extra but they automatically add it to your bill. I have always been able to book spa treatments when I get onboard. Often I wait until they advertise the special I want. Since many of Regent's cruises are port intensive, and most people want to visit the spa on sea days, there are more slots available.
  18. Thank both of you for telling what it is like onboard the Splendor right now. It sounds glorious except for the masking. But I, for one, would rather have the inconvenience of wearing a mask indoors, than contracting Covid again, no matter how mild. Good to hear Regent is supplying comfortable masks, but I wouldn't expect anything less. Has anyone heard anything about the revised itinerary for the 2022 WC. We are planning to be on that cruise one month after we get off the Splendor. Keep sending these wonderful reports. Norma and Mitch
  19. Serena Melani was supposed to be the Captain of the Splendor. When the ship started cruising again this week they have a different captain. Does anyone know what happened?
  20. Hi there. Are you going to be on the Splendor transatlantic? We will be on from Athens. Hope we meet you and we can share some bubbly. Norma and Mitch
  21. I must be doing something wrong because when I press on the Grandeur on "ships" it says the site is unable to find any cruises right now and to try another ship.
  22. Where are they posted? I couldn’t find them on the Regent site.
  23. We have had extremely good luck going to the Maitre D at each specialty restaurant the night before we want to go and agree to share a table. We were able to eat at more than the basic number of specialties if we were flexible. That being said, the main dining room, Compass Rose, is amazing. If there is a special dish you would like, tell your server the night before and it will magically appear the next night. We were even able to get the chef to make us caprese salad with the tomatoes we purchased at the market on a shore excursion.
  24. The difficulty in getting a dining reservation is based on several factors. If you are flexible about which night we have found port days are easier to get than sea days. Early and later are easier than 7:30 to 8:30. Finally it depends on the length of your cruise. It is harder to get the reservations you want on a seven day cruise than on a fourteen or more day cruise. Norma
