  1. Okay thanks... I think that helps. We have only cruise with them on Carnival which has the bunk bed style sleeping... So has worked. But my not work as they get older.
  2. Thank you, they do share a bed at our house for right now. But it's queen but will be changing that soon also. But I don't know how big those sofabeds are. But if they are smaller then a queen that probably will be an issue. Thank you for the info.
  3. The rooms would be connecting. I wouldn't want it any other way. As for rooms 1688/1388 I would just be getting one. Being those rooms seem to be double the space then a standard balcony. I would be either getting a connecting balcony or just one room either 1688 or 1388. On my last post it sounded like I would be getting both those rooms... LOL not.
  4. I also posted this in the Royal Caribbean area. But may get a better response here. We had a cruise planned with our grandkids for June on a different cruise line "Carnival". We had a nice ext. balcony in the back of the ship. Of course that was cancel due to the "virus". Planning on rebooking this time with Royal Caribbean to give the kids the experience on a larger ship. Mariner of the Seas because it's close to us, don't feel like driving down to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami for 3-4 day cruise. Haven't booked anything yet, but looking at prices of rooms. Looks like for about the same price we could either book connecting balcony rooms or room 1688/1388. That's if those are available for when we book. There will be two adults and two kids 10 & 12. We have done 3 other cruises in one room before. But looking at room space as they get older. If you had a choice which room would you book?

  6. Thanks for the information... plus pictures. Gives me a better ideal.
  7. Thank you, although we can but didn't want to be always climbing over beds. The room does look like it has a lot of room.
  8. How does this room fit four people? Two adults and two kids (10 and 12). We may book these rooms. But from the pictures I have seen they don't look like they have an pull down bed from the top. Does the couch fold out to a queen?
  9. Didn't know about the HIGH tax now on Cuban cigars. In 2016 after the ban on Cubans of lifted to bring them back to the US. My husband and I was in Barbados on a cruise. We went out to find Cubans. Found a local shop off the main town area. We bought quit a few. Had them for months back home. So figure it was still that way.... LOL to our surprise.. We did ask around after leaving Atlantis and was told about Graycliff. We did buy some of their own cigars. They were frankly good cigars. Plus Graycliff had a much better place. Frankly just as expensive to stay as Atlantis but a MUCH quieter feel.
  10. My husband and I went to Altantis 17 years ago. Then you could "walk around" and at least see a little bit of the place beyond the lobby. Now to see any "interesting" things you PAY for it. We went there to get some Cuban cigars thinking we could get some for $25 a stick. They wanted $75-100 for one... Needless to say we didn't get it. Also saw a lot of people checking in to the hotel not to mention all the cruise ship people.
  11. There will be four of us. I went to Carnival website and they don't have those as an option to rent an head of time. Is it something you can rent there on the island? I would like to rent two. We don't need or probably even want to be in the most active area of the beach. Also wanting to know how much they are. I have herd $20-30 for the day. We're hoping looking to do this cruise in June.
  12. Thank you for letting me know about the 75% future cruise credit. Well this trip is for the kids. I personally don't need another Bahamas cruise anytime soon. The would be their 4th cruise with us. Personally I think 80% people that get the Coronavirus is mild cases. The other 20% are people that probably already have other health issue that make it worse. We all are very healthy people and I know US and Bahamas are limiting anyone from China into their countries. The parents have not mention anything to us... yet. Mom just took them to Russia for 3 weeks in Jan. But just getting data just in case this comes up. Our final payment is not due to March 25th, so a lot can change in that time.
  13. Yeah you didn't try hard.... 😁 LOL.... Joking aside you did help. Just I think the other person was asking about "during" his trip. Although I could be wrong.
  14. Thanks I posted in the travel insurance area. Although the link really doesn't answer my question. That person was asking about travel during the trip I think. I'm asking if we cancel before we start the trip. Well hopefully I'll get an answer this weekend, if not I'll ask my PVP on Monday.
