  1. That sounds really nice, too. I upgraded to a J3 yesterday for my March cruise. There were no junior suites available for the longest time, but I guess some people cancelled when the final payment was due. I'm traveling with two of my friends, so it will be really nice to have a little extra space, and two bathrooms will come in handy when it is time to get ready. The funny thing is I talked to two different rep's at Club Royale and they both said there was only one bathroom. The price to upgrade was minimal (when split 3 ways), so I took a chance and booked it. This will be my first time in a Junior Suite.
  2. What type of Junior Suite is a J3 on Anthem? Was it formerly known as a Family Junior Suite or Spa Suite? The deck plan doesn't have information regarding the bathroom set up. Junior Suite An incredible intimate suite with a great view. ( Up to 5 guests ) Beds Two twin beds that convert to a Royal King bed One double sofa bed One Pullman bed in staterooms with up to 5 guests Size Stateroom: 267 sq. ft. Balcony: 81 sq. ft.
  3. I don’t know why the photo posted in the middle. Sorry about that. I’m on my phone.
  4. Hi. I booked one of the new balcony staterooms on Deck 11 and I’m having trouble finding information. The staterooms are underlined in the photo attached, 1152, 1150, 1100, 1102, 1104. I’ve stayed in a forward facing ocean view room (window, no balcony) on deck 6 on Adventure and enjoyed it. I’m trying to find out the size of the balcony, if it’s sunny or shaded, quiet or noisy. I’m taking my 17 year old son again, I think he’ll love the location. I’d love to be able to have room for a lounge chair on the balcony, it looks big enough. The rep for casino royale said it’s a standard size balcony. That doesn’t seem right based on the deck plan. Thanks in advance.
  5. My son and I ate at Primo's Italian Kitchen & Bar and had a nice meal. It is in the little mall that is between the Marriott and Doubletree. You can access the mall near the check-in desk. The are restaurants, a few stores for convenience items, a pharmacy, etc. Look at the DoubleTree by Hilton Biscayne Bay website and it will give you an idea of some of the restaurants that are there.
  6. I made a mistake and moved to 6570 (I confused port and starboard). Are we above the smoking area in 6570? There are 3 of us in the room and I'm hoping to fit 3 chairs on the balcony. This balcony looks a little bigger (on the deck plan). 6562 is available and it looks even bigger. I just don't want to be above the smoking area because one of my friends has asthma. If we are above the smoking area, any suggestions on which obstructed balcony stateroom for 3 I should ask to move to? Thanks.
  7. Thank you. I didn't realize some hotels offered transportation to/from the port. I thought we'd have to Uber or take a taxi. With that in mind our budget should be $300. If we can get a good rate we thought about staying someplace like the Embassy Suites Berkeley Heights NJ the night before, and parking at the port the next day. The hotel looks like it is "on the way" and google maps says will take roughly 30 minutes to get to the cruise terminal from the hotel. Does this sound feasible? The part that is appealing to me is the ability to "get on the road" after the cruise and not have to shuttle somewhere. I'm the driver, and I have to work the next day. 😞
  8. $200-$250 for the hotel if it includes parking. Likely route: PA turnpike to 78. Thank you!
  9. Hello, I hope I am in the right place. I apologize if this has been asked and answered, I'm having trouble with the search function. Last night we booked Anthem's 3/22 sailing. Our group is 3 ladies, late 40's to 70. This is our first cruise from Cape Liberty. The current plan is to drive from Pittsburgh the day before. We're looking for a clean, safe hotel with two beds and a roll away or sofa bed for Saturday 3/21/20. It would be nice if there is a restaurant at the hotel or one nearby (within safe walking distance). We've been to NYC before so we do not plan on doing any sightseeing. We don't mind waking up and having an hour to drive, but really don't want to be further than that. Also, Is parking at the port our best option? Thank you in advance.
  10. Host Clarea, I moved across the hall to 6570. One of my friends has asthma and h20skibum pointed out the other stateroom was above the smoking area. There are 3 of us, and it looks like the balcony might be a little bigger. What is the bed/sofa placement in this room? Thanks in advance. Robbiesox15 I just booked this room type and found this web page helpful. You can't click the yellow photo icons without a membership, but you can see the black photo icons and the links to YouTube videos. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Anthem-of-the-Seas&deck=6
  11. Thank you! This will be the first time I've been in a room with the sofa by the balcony. Now I'm trying to find out about the obstruction. I can't believe I just booked another cruise! 😁
  12. I just booked 6168 about a half hour ago. I hope it is OK. Does anyone know where the bed is - by the window or by the bathroom?
