  1. When my daughter was 2nd grade and below, I would pull her out of school for vacation. Now that she’s middle school (in an accelerated program) I’m very reluctant to pull her out. I don’t think the school would stop me, but missing concepts and making up work....I’ll get home and need another vacation. 😊
  2. Really enjoyed your review! Thanks for taking the time. 🙂
  3. Ooooooo yay!! Following! I leave for Seattle this Saturday, Aug 18th for the sailing on the 21st. I'm super excited. Not may Legend reviews, so THANK YOU for taking the time to share! It's appreciated!
  4. I applied for myself and my daughter (minor....she's 11) - mine was a renewal, and my daughter's was completely expired. Both applications sent in on April 1st, non expedited. Got mine back on April 19th and got hers back on May 10th. And FYI - the status link for checking passport status is fairly useless. :-(

  8. I don't disagree with anything you've said. IF (a big IF) my daughter had a friend traveling with us, then maybe I'd feel better about the TWO of them doing some things in public areas. But I face reality....my daughter is 70 pounds and still very 'child-like'...I guess I mean naive to to the ways of the world. As a parent, I would feel horrible if someone snatched her, or convinced her to do anything untoward. (I'm sure all parents feel that way). And yes, you do have to let loose on the leash. FOR ME, 11 is too young. FOR ME. Some have stated their children walk home, stay home alone...etc. My daughter is driven to school, driven home from school, and has NEVER been alone in her life. For me to start letting loose on a cruise ship isn't feasible. FOR ME. But for others, it could be fine. I would never call anyone here a 'bad parent' for doing what is best for their family.
  9. AMEN! (and this is from someone cruising with an 11 year old who will BARELY be out of my sight.) I don't drink. I prefer to do family activities together. :)
