  1. Thank you so much for this information. I had assumed that it was just different packaging since the description was almost the same.
  2. We sailed this month on Solstice in a Concierge Class cabin and had the Bigelow Products that were in black bottles with with numbers like No 4001, No 4001, etc. Really liked those products. Came home and ordered the Bigelow shampoo and condition from Amazon. Different bottle and only says Lavender - Peppermint Formula. Can't find the numbered formulas. This seems to be a different product and is triggering allergies. Anyone know anything about the formulas? Think these will have to be returned. Thanks.
  3. How does the priority tender work for elite and Conceirge? Do you get tender tickets? Where? Just go to the tenders? Thanks in advance.
  4. Anyone have an answer about the call brands for the martini's at the Martini Bar? Or in general? Thanks.
  5. Wondering the same thing. Some of the special martinis look good like the espresso or rose ones but not being a big cocktail drinker I would be fine with the call brand. Also for those who state the menu is in the app. The app does not contain many of the descriptions and pictures that actual menus do. Looking at the actual menu for the drinks and food usually provides more information. Of course the app is better than no information. Thanks to all for sharing.
  6. Princess has some good pluses like the itineraries, the drink packages, several fresh water pools, and less crowded come to mind. For many the entertainment is lacking. The ship is quieter than Carnival especially late at night. Fewer included choices likes Guy's Burgers, etc. For us the main drawback is lack of seating in the cabins. One chair and no sofa until your are in a suite. On some short cruises that's fine but on a longer cruise where you might want to watch TV a bit or one may be feeling bad it's nice to have two chairs or a sofa. Just something we look at. But yes do the math but also make sure you are getting the things that are important to you. Trying something new is good. The grass may be greener or not...
  7. I can't see the menu on my cruise and I can't get the app to show me current Solstice cruise. It does show me the hours. Thanks.
  8. What do the limited selections include? any hot items? eggs? meats? Thank you.
  9. Thanks. We will plan on 6 or 6:30 once we see the onboard options. Or even putting a boiled egg in the small frig. Nice problem to have :).
  10. What is the early risers breakfast?? Continental? Hot and cold buffet? Thanks.
  11. Yes, the problem seems to getting any eggs plus meat or cheese early - cold or hot. I don't see the hours posted any where for the room service continental breakfast which may be our no charge option? Also regarding the enhanced room service menu with a charge, do they have specific hours for different items such a club sandwich - that could make a good breakfast option? Al Bacio shows 6am opening time. Does it have any food options besides sweet pastries? Thanks.
  12. good point about the docking departure time. It is about 7 on most of our ports. But we prefer to eat then get dressed, etc. to leave the ship so at least 1 hour before the time to leave. 1.5 hours gives a bit of lee way... On Princess, one of us orders cereal and the other orders a BLT to be delivered with no extra charge...
  13. What do people do for breakfast on early tour days and sea days? Love to see options. We have many early hour tours on the Solstice so we are interested in the early breakfast options, including concierge and elite. But in general would like to know all the options for each day. For the early mornings, in the past on Celebrity we would order room service cereal, boiled eggs, toast and coffee for no extra charge except the tip. Research shows that is not an option. So the options appear to be (but what can you have early? say at 5:30am): Room service continental or enhanced with charge (can you get it early?) Main buffet Cafe Al Bacio (any food choices early?) Elite breakfast (hours, choices?) Main Dining Room Others that I am missing? P. S. Can you still order room service from the MDR menu for dinner? Thanks in advance!
  14. Any recommendations on what to do for 4 hours in Saigon if you DIY? We have all day tours in other ports and want a shorter day here. Is it safe for two cruisers on their own? Thank you.
  15. Thank you to Cruisestitch for the menu including wines by the glass. I had asked on another thread about them. Looks like Argentinian Malbec is in my future.
  16. Anyone have a list of the wines in the Classic Package? In particular red wine by the glass? How about coffees like cappucino or espresso? I did look at app and did not see this information. Thanks.
  17. Policy - 2 bottles, $25 corkage fee per bottle in a dining room. Carrying a glass from a bottle opened in room is not what we prefer to do. The glasses supplied to the rooms are not the best and one glass of wine is not preferred for a 3 or 4 course meal... It is Celebrity's right to set their policies. We make it work but the wine policy really does not add to our cruise. Just something to know up front to avoid a disappointment.
  18. Since the only alcohol we drink is wine, we don't "pay" for drink packages but do have them included in a booking sometimes. Have not seen wine by the glass options on any of the major lines that we would purchase. Prefer to carry on bottles and pay the corkage fees which Celebrity limits. So yes if one wants a good wine then by the bottle is best option and you just have to factor in the cost the same as restaurant pricing. Just a fact when cruising on Celebrity. As a wine drinker the packages are just annoying...
  19. We just booked the Black Friday price of 30% off the 5 N Package. Will probably want to do Murano 3 nights and Tuscan 2 nights. We can do later times if need be. Anyone ever get denied a reservation? What do you prefer to order in these restaurants? Thanks in advance.
  20. Awesome, thanks for the help!
  21. Just saw a room available at Pacific Shores Inn that would save about $500 for the week. Any thought son Mission Beach vs. Coronado? Thanks.
  22. Every cruise line will have issues with the older ships including Princess. I'm looking at you Emerald Princess 🙂 HA!
  23. Looked at your signature/cruising history - Carnival will be similar to RCL and NCL since you have picked a longer cruise. You may have to avoid some areas that are set up to be a party i.e. the events that are being hyped by the CD but there should be plenty of quieter areas. If you could now enjoy RCL or NCL you should be fine. If those lines would be too loud then Carnival would be too. Not much different.
  24. Most policies will state how long the delay must be to be covered. Some may require 12 hours.
  25. Thanks for the info on GeoBlue. I just bought a plan and the link to login that emailed always shows that I have timed out for my password. Do you have an opinion on whether it is better use the website or a mobile app for GeoBlue? Thanks.
