Don't matter.  You may be able to price match but lose the casino perks.  The casino dept has tightened up on price drops.

My PVP just changed it without problem!!! So happy. Got to keep my booking and all perks... my balance just went down by $300 since I haven't made final payment yet.

  2. Thanks everyone, trying to get my PVP on the phone today to get me connected with the right department. It's definitely $300 cheaper right now, so I'm hoping for good luck. I don't necessarily want the cash back, just credit!! We spend a ton of on board money between cheers, specialty dining, and extra tips, so every bit helps.

  3. Has anyone ever just canceled their cruise and rebooked it to get the better price? My January cruise is $300 cheaper right now if I were to book the same room. I sent the inquiry to receive credit for a price drop, but they would not honor due to it not being an early saver rate. It was a casino offer I believe. We have vacation protection... and even that price has dropped to $79/person!!

Just wondering what the disadvantages would be if I did this. My PVP was also no help.

  4. I had to move my January 2020 cruise to January 2021 due to a new baby. How far out are you able to make all of your specialty restaurant reservations? I’ve never booked this far out before and the online booking manager keeps saying “no results found” when I try to make my reservations.

  5. When will the new steakhouse menu be in effect for the Freedom? I'm cruising again on July 28th and I want the OLD menu. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get to enjoy it again! I didn't like the new menu while on the Breeze.

I can't seem to find any plans or info on this so I hope someone can help!

  6. I'm not sure what time frame would be considered current for MDR menus, but when I do a google search, everything seems to be outdated. Might have better luck if someone can take pictures of the menu, day after day, and load them when they get back from their cruise. Can anyone cruising soon help?

I leave with my DH on Sunday 3/4 for a 7 day and I plan to get menu pics! I’ll be doing a review. Hopefully everyone looking for updated menus will enjoy the post!

  7. Okay...adults already have:

    Every Bar

    Club

    Casino

    Serenity Area

    Adult Comedy

    Cloud9 Spa.

What else, besides a pool, do you want? Seriously...what else?

Unfortunately, that's not happening on cruises. In december, lines of kids taking up barstools for their bubbles package. They crashed adult comedy and adult karaoke (which in karaoke, they KILLED the vibe every night and the host lady let them keep singing over and over). I'm on the side that is frustrated with the kids taking over.....

  8. Was just on the Freedom April 15th, the sushi bar was open we ate there multiple times, rolls were really good priced between $5.00 and $7.00 per roll. They also had a selection of raw fish.

When did this go in?? I didn't see it in December, but I'm going again on the Freedom next week and now I'm WAY more excited. Where was it?

  9. I see a different opinion on every post I have searched for and read. I want to know the real answer! When I tip bartenders/waiters on a receipt, what happens to it? Do they keep all of it, or does it get split? How long until they see the money? In a restaurant, waiters get credit card tips same night (usually), is it the same on cruise ships?

Before you ask why don't we just use cash.... I prefer writing in tips for the convenience. I don't carry cash with me.. obviously no pockets in a bikini or an evening dress.. and I like not having to carry a bag around. I know grats are included in cheers, but I tip well on the ticket because I appreciate the good service.

    Thoughts or explanations?

  10. I sail again on May 6th and FINALLY got to purchase FTTF a couple of weeks ago. It said sold out since I booked in February, but I checked for it daily until I found it was available on a random afternoon. Checked again the next day and it said sold out again. Be persistent if you want it!!!!! ;)

  11. I'm having trouble finding some current information on Mahogany Bay. Leaving on May 6 and this will be my first time at this port. What is it like? I've heard the Carnival made port is really nice, but there's really not any current info about what is there. Restaurants? Is the beach worth going to there?

  12. We are big drinkers while on a cruise and wandered into the skybox sports bar one evening, halfway through the 7day cruise, and oh my...... they have their own little drink menu posted on the bar counter and tabletops that is ridiculous. They have two drinks in particular that all but knocked us on our @ss.... I'm talking showing up to dinner in the MDR feeling NICE. It's definitely worth your time. One was a special margarita with fresh lime juice as the only mixer.... and they had a special "long island" with 6 alcohols and a splash of sprite. Brace yourself...... It will make for a good night.
