  1. Online chat had my latitudes number, could see what "coupon" I had, but for some reason choose to explore it further, ??
  2. OK, if the coupon limit was so obvious, why then did the online chat have to put a courtesy hold to check it out?? Your saying I did not need to check "the coupon" so should have not called. But why then, if it was so cut and dry did the on line chat need to do a mock booking to find that out. The on line chat "representative" was an eager beaver to get a booking hopefully. Misatertomatotoe, I was getting annoyed and a little what the heck is going on with all the emails for a booking I did not make, thanks for your response
  3. I agree with OP, very annoying. Yes, do need to avoid being logged into your NCl account when having fun browsing. I switch over to google, am anonymous there as far as NCL sees. to have fun exploring without annoying phone calls the next day.
  4. good for you! Have booked at least 35 cruises with NCL. I wasn't looking to book, just a question.
  5. thanks for replies. Emails stopped coming 5 in all, an a apology from NCL, all good
  6. to add, the courtesy confirm and second email confirmation did have cabin # and price for a balcony cabin. Never did I discuss what accommodations I was interested in.
  7. Used chat line tonight to ask about a 10% discount in my account. Gave chat person the ID number of it and my latitude number. My question was about the date the coupon could be used, yes, to me it looked like only a September date for an Alaska Cruise, but wanted to make sure it could not be used for another. She asked when would you like to sail, I replied" possibly July". confirmed it was for only for the specific date in September. I replied thank you for your time and information. Within 5 minutes I received an email with a courtesy hold for a cruise in July and then a confirmation of same cruise within 2 minutes. At first, I had a little panic attack, but gave no credit card info and know I could dispute it and did call NCL and was told , "it will go away within 24 hours". Well fine and dandy I guess, but I think this kind of "marketing" or whatever is very wrong. Hope NCL see this, lol. Anyway just wanting to pass along my experience.
  8. lol fogfog post certainly not about NCl Haven lunch
  9. In Haven last month on Bliss, even booked 30 days out, got luggage tags, did not use them since we do carry on, but sure got them in the mail
  10. complawyer: Wow you got beyond Haven treatment, never heard of or knew a concierge would take you all the way through to the luggage area of the terminal!! We get taken by the "special elevator" to the designated deck to disembark. then on our own
  11. Yes you can carry on any luggage that will fit through an airline size scanner. Even if not in the Haven. We stay in the Haven and bring our luggage onboard. Never had a problem with putting it directly into our room, most times room ready. We have sailed 34 times on NCL, and10 times we have received a flier delivered to our room, looking for lost luggage that someone did not receive. to see if it any passenger had it in their cabin. And that was delivered on day 2 or 3. So travel at your own comfort level.
  12. I am so amazed how you handled everything, You have a reserved spot in the beyond for you for sure. Hope Mom recoups comfortably at home.
  13. Thinking of you, your Mom and family. Know you have to be overwhelmed. Hoping the best outcome in Puerto Vallarta. We get onboard Feb 25th. Sure going to be careful as possible onboard. when everting settles down, let us all know how things are going.
  14. oh my bad!! for mentioning ??? have been on long cruises in the Haven before but menu did not Change, was just hoping this was a new change fleet wide
  15. I saw a post on Facebook, from the Bliss Panama Canal departing January 27th to Los Angeles. Showed picture of the "Dinner Special" in the Haven. It was a swordfish, shrimp, rice combo with sauce. Have sailed the Haven several times on several Ships. the dinner menu was set. am wondering if now there is a Special of the Night offered.
  16. Yes name of company we have used twice. Very satisfied
  17. Ship still in Astoria, Saturday the 18th, 830am
  18. As of today, Friday the 17th, the Panorama is still parked in Astoria, OR. :No news on how the ship will get under the bridge yet. Crew members are welcomed in town and out and about. Latest news from local paper is that the Ship will be here until Dec. 4th. Not saying this is factual. then on to Portland, OR for repairs. Saw the Ship twice today, great view, weather beautiful to view Ship.
  19. All I can answer to is the tax on drinks in US Ports prior to sailing away. . Yes, our experience in cruises leaving from numerous ports, if you drink before getting pulled away from the Port, there is a state tax that applies to each drink.
  20. Oatmeal is not on the Haven Breakfast Menu. They will get you it though, may take a few extra minutes, if you prefer it Everday, let them know, and it will probably be available without extra wait time.
  21. rugerdog: IT WAS OFF-PUTTING TO ME. When hero Cards were introduced, it was my opinion they were for a staff member that did something exceptional. All employees are outstanding, but it seems like it is a competition now to get cards. One of the cards I left was for a restaurant wait server that was dealing with a very difficult table of passengers. Her professionalism and patience i thought was outstanding. these incidents are the reason I leave cards.
  22. I have not read through 66 pages, so a little late to the game. But Just off the Encore, Oct. 22. We were very fortunate our Butler and room Steward went beyond. Had regular drink pkg. did pay extra for Espresso Martini, about $2.60, We ordered our regular go to drinks, they were covered. With a full Ship (4500 passengers) the Haven was worth every penny we spent to book. Will say the Haven restaurant, as others, has a noticeable decline in food quality, but was not surprised. The afternoon snacks which sometimes appreciated, were not very good and were mostly put back to be taken away. Many years ago, the snacks were awesome, but still too much to eat before going out to dinner.
  23. The Encore has gone to No Reservations for shows in the Theatre and comedy club. This changed last week. First come basis
