  1. Loved this cruise. Went on the Jewel 3 years ago. Instead of Bar Harbor we went to Rockland. There were so many things to do in each port we will probably take it again some day. In Portland my husband wanted to go to the L.L. Bean store in Freeport, so we took the excursion there. Lots of outlet stores and our first of many lobster rolls. We took the HOHO tour in St. John's. Went to the reversing falls and various other places. My husband is a retired firefighter, so we had to find a fire station to visit near the route. We walked around Halifax on our own. The trek up to the Citadel made me question our decision, but once we got there we enjoyed it. Found a very nice restaurant for lunch and had our favorite lobster rolls of the trip.

We flew into Boston a couple of days early, so we could do the tourist thing. It was the first trip there for both of us.

    Great trip. Highly recommend it.

  2. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's picky about her tea!

At the end of our last cruise I had to check two of the drink stations before I found my English Breakfast tea bags in the Windjammer.

After a couple of nights of requesting tea after dinner and choosing English Breakfast from the box our assistant waiter automatically brought it to me. Loved that.

  3. We were just off Freedom a week ago and smoking was allowed in the lounge. We were in there for our Meet and Mingle and even though no one was smoking at the time I could still smell the smoke.

It is a great place to go if you want a quiet place to watch the ocean and/or read during the day.

Another time we were in there in the afternoon and and two men were sitting at a table smoking.
