Ok Azulann, here’s the scoop. I talked to Noree in customer services on Juniper who seemed a bit non-pluses by the question. She said you need to contact customer relations… customerrelations@vikingcruises.com with how many, when to meet … and they will contact the ship.  She did not indicate contacting the ship…

Small ship cruises.  Any pro or cons for different lines?

We want to do alaska in May 2024. We like what Viking offers but wonder about other options that are not the many passenger cruises. Any suggestions?

I’ll check on the rest but the weather is good so far. We are on the way to Skagagen and the sea is quite high. Rocking back and forth, making it a bit challenging to walk. 

We are on Jupiter now heading to Bergen in a DV4 and the rooms seem smaller.  It has been three years since we cruised so it may be my imagination.  

Same thing happened to me.  We are doing the viking shores and fjords may 22.  I logged into my viking journey yesterday and lots of openings for dining at the speciality restaurants.  

We are on this cruise also.  We booked a separate pulpit rock journey when in Stavanger. 

I booked the Rodne online and it was easy.  We haven't taken it yet.

Thanks for all the great info so far.  Here is my question, we have booked the post extension Bergen to Oslo and of course be on the train. Is it worth while to additionally do Norway in a nutshell on the day we have free in Bergen, or is it better to do just the train in Flam. ( if possible), because part of Norway in a Nutshell is the same as we will see on the train to Oslo.  

I also use msp and got the advertised price.

Janetcbl,  we are cruising in May, Amsterdam to Bergen with the Bergen / Oslo extension.  We take the train from Bergen to Oslo.  Should we do Norway in a nutshell or is this a repeat of our scheduled transfer to Oslo?

In May/June We are flying home from Oslo to Minneapolis after a cruise.  In looking at airlines, I am wondering if we change planes in Amsterdam, do we need to go through customs?  Also how much time should be allowed to change planes.  We plan on flying Delta.  I looked on the thread but couldn’t find the answer to my question, so I apologize in advance if it is here somewhere.  

Peregrina, when you book through air plus are you ticketed too?  I am concerned about booking but not ticketed.

Viking Shores and Fjords

We are on the Viking Sores and Fjords leaving May 22. We have the extension booked to Oslo on the train. Should we do Norway in a Nutshell during our Bergen stay or will it de redundant with the train to Oslo?  Is something else better to do?  Thanks in advance. 

I was told by a Viking agent, that the transfer without air is $50.00.  I would assume that is for arrival, departure is probably an additional $50 per person.

I was recently told by a Viking cruise TA that the price is $50 per person.  That was in Bergen.
