You can text other passengers but as I recall it does not paying them so they won’t know that there’s a text waiting for them unless they happen to check into the app. It’s a fairly useless feature.

Yes, while it is usually held on embarkation day, there have been reports if it being held later in the cruise, which as you say makes no sense. I remember one report where the ship had just returned to service and they said that’s why it wasn’t held on embarkation day but I think there have been a couple more cases, too

Redtravel, The Captains Club nightly reception was modified to keep crowds down and also in response to passengers desires to enjoy their happy hour drinks without having to get dressed up since beachwear wasnt allowed. They changed it so that you can order drinks from the Captains Club menu at various bars around the ship. If you have an AI package then it probably doesn’t mean much to you and the only thing you might have missed was some appetizers used to be passed at the reception if you dont have a drinks package you can order from the Captains Club drinks menu from 5-7 there are other elite plus benefits in casino, spa, and elsewhere but perhaps nothing that interests you
