What’s RD#47?
Should be easy to figure out. Can’t go into any further details especially on the thread. Sorry

Did the CDC director suggest two masks for people who have been vaccinated gathering with other people who have been vaccinated? Personally, I didn't hear her make that statement so just wondering in what scenario(s) was she addressing?
She was asked a question something to the effect were two masks necessary. She suggested everyone should wear two masks. I assume everyone includes those vaccinated.

My wife and I wear one mask, and we are both vaccinated. I also wear a mask at work, and have no problem wearing on on a cruise. Most of the time, i forget it's on.
Why not two that have been suggested?

It was never part of the old DL. the DL has always been in the starboard side of the crown. They took the old card and game room in the port side of the crown and created the SL. It looked quite nice to me.
Anything that has SL on the door is a plus. 😇

There is more leniency than small gathering outside.......
I’m going by the words of our President. He said he was hopeful a small group of family to could meet outdoors on 4th of July for a BBQ. Did I quote him wrong?
It was either Thursday or Friday that the Director of the CDC was asked about masks. She recommended/suggested two masks.

Also the elephant in the room so to speak as far as suing to get cruises restarted it that a Covid State of Emergency exists. The prevoius administration closed the ports due to the emergency and the current one has continued it. The CDC always refers to the State of Emergency and that is why the CDC director says other agencies involved. HHS which means the WH at the end of the day.
I don’t believe the current administration has any intention of removing the State of Emergency anytime soon.

No doubt, one or both will find a job in the private sector 😇
Who would hire the one in today’s Me Too and Cancel Culture. It would be suicide.

I suggest we all try to watch HBO on Tuesday night for their documentary "The Last Cruise", story of the Diamond Princess last spring.
All that has changed with Operation Warp Speed and the vaccines.

CDC is not going to relent. Florida Governor already makes them look bad and they will not give in.

We can start this subject once all the fleet is back up and running and the cheap cruise deals out of the US are offered.
Now let's focus on the masks, which seems to be another very difficult subject for people to wear one. As long as you don't need to wear a mask sitting on your deck chair or even when walking outside I don't see what the whole fuss is all about if it contributes to keep us all safe.
I think I’ve asked this but went unanswered. How many masks do you and Ace wear? I should do a poll. 😇

Could you imagine a show like All In The Family being produced in this day and age?
Just no way. Surprised the reruns haven’t gone the way of Gone With The Wind and Aunt Jemima Syrup.
It’s crazy.

I’m behind this but not trying to be negative but the CDC is not going to change the CSO. If they did, it would be a negative on the new administration. It’s all about control.

Thanks Rory.
It is harmless fun and a great tune too.
The actors look very much like our Royal family who we love.
I thought it was great and funny and find it wonderful the UK seems to be more tolerant on social media with the current situation in the Royal Family. So much of what we now post in US is “Fact Checked” and doesn’t meet community standards and deleted.

I hope everyone likes this.
It’s nice you Brits can openly joke about that situation but here in the US it would be cancelled. Something like this likely not to “meet community standards “ on most other social media platforms.
I must say I love it. Thanks

I think Sous Vide must be primarily a guy thing. (pardon my sexist language) The male members seem to be enamored with them. Some of us that have to cook meals regularly, really feel no need to plan that far ahead for dinner or cook anything for that long, have the additional prep work or more pots and appliances to clean. Besides purchasing additional specialty appliances and a vacuum sealer and vacuum bags. That's okay.
But I am sincerely glad that those of you that have a Sous Vide and associated accessories, enjoy it and get a lot of use out of it. But it is not really our thing.
It’s different, that’s for sure. Certain meats are really good SousVide. It’s great for lamb racks, leg, and pork tenderloin. Ribs were good but I prefer the 3-2-1 on the BGE low an slow.

It is about $6 or 7 a bottle for a big one in my grocery store. It is amazing how much Amazon makes distributing it for the yokels who make it. The pictures are all of small bottles.
You want the original.
It is good on any meat.
I think that’s a pack of 6. 20oz each.

We're having ribs tonight. They take about an hour on the BBQ. We have a Weber Genesis. And we use Chaka MMM sauce on ribs and some other meats. https://chakasmmm.com/ Very tasty, and no sugars or oils so it doesn't caramelize and doesn't burn on the meat. Tater tots on the side and DH is having potato salad.
Ribs in an hour? That’s not low an slow.

If you find the right sauce it can be worth it to make it. We usually stick with Sweet Baby Ray's honey chipotle. And it goes on toward the end of the cook so it will get sticky and not burn.
The ribs were already cooked, SousVide.

You like using that term. I suppose you’re not religious. I think some might take offense to this terminology.
