  1. Hire a driver from Tours Plaza. They have a whole list of interesting spots - we've done a chocolate making tour, and one for tequila. They'll take you shopping or anywhere else you want. Lunch on the East Sidel. It varies by how long you want (rates are by the hour), I think we paid ~200 (plus tip) for four hours. We had the same driver both times, super nice and speaks English like he was born in Ohio. Highly recommended!
  2. Am I the only idiot who thought it was Bond era Sean Connery?? 😂
  3. You're going to get a lot of... strenuous... feedback, but as long as your munchkin is reasonably cheerful and independent (no separation anxiety), and the excursion is relatively close /low risk of missing the ship, I think it's fine to leave her in camp.
  4. February Pride steakhouse just opened up Reservations this week. And I had to submit it three times because it wouldn't go through.
  5. Pre covid I liked to wander-shop and find a nice restaurant for (usually) a seafood lunch. I see no reason to change this strategy for the plague.
  6. Yep. It's even worse as a solo - you automatically pay for TWO "free" packages. 🙄
  7. Unfortunately, they know I'm already on board with Cheers, so I got the "not at all a deal" RU9. 😅 Congratulations!
  8. I think that's the charge for a breakfast combo - "American Combo B." You still shouldn't have been charged at all, but at least they weren't trying to get you to pay twelve bucks for coffee!
  9. Cheers includes frozen mocktails, Bubbles does not.
  10. I think I could enjoy avocado and tequila. But if onions / peppers / cilantro try to join the drink party, I'm out! 🤮 😂
  11. This trip is already looking amazing, and I am super jealous! Having said that, what is in this?? It looks like pistachio pudding! 😂
  12. Wouldn't it be the other way? 1000 with 50 OBC is a net cost of 950. The new fare would need to be lower than (net) 950 vs 1050.
  13. I wound up booking the Pride, which has Serenity on Lido deck aft. The location looks good, but maybe iffy because the waterslides end immediately above? At least there's a bar to dull the sounds of (happily) screaming children, lol.
  14. I've seen these too, and it's just so bizarre to me. I know the ship designers are smarter than I am, but this just seems like REALLY poor planning. I hope you gave her the NY version of "bless your heart." 😄
  15. Is Wix down? I'm getting a page not found error. 😞 Edit: I can get to the review if I just go to your blog. Maybe it's the specific link? Or just a misc computer gremlin, who knows, lol!
  16. I mostly sail Fantasy class, but I'm looking to branch out. I was just checking the Freedom deck plan, and saw that Serenity is right next to Camp Ocean. Um... what?? I wouldn't think that's a very serene location. 😂 😂 Can someone who's sailed on a ship with this setup, please chime in with your experience?
  17. Welcome home! Can't wait for your review! 😁
  18. I like to get some sashimi and a cocktail for happy hour before we head to dinner. NOM.
  19. True. True, but this is a positive for me. I try to plan my dinner for when I won't be there for "showtime." (I know that mileage may vary on this, just sharing my opinion.) The only time this has been an issue, is one night on our last cruise when I was trying to get some food into bestie before seasickness knocked her out. "Our" servers' station had just filled with the first seating, so it would have been a lengthy ish wait time, and we settled for an adjacent station. I think they do a great job of accommodating requests whenever humanly possible; it's a win-win situation for the passengers and the staff.
  20. These are my dream cabins - directly between Serenity and the Alchemy bar!
  21. @Tjcalley that picture on Umbrella Street (lol) is great! Love it!
  22. Exactly what I needed today! Thanks, Sid!!
  23. I mean, $79 for a four night cruise is still pretty fabulous! 🙂
