We booked a guaranteed inside cabin for our upcoming cruise and it's just been allocated, it's an oceanview 🙂

Enjoying the Azamara experience already and we're not even on board yet.

How long until your cruise? I booked a guarantee oceanview so maybe i"ll get lucky and get a verandah! One can dream.

I've just tried to do a dummy booking but it's only coming up with Ocean view staterooms, so maybe the veranda ones have sold out?

You can go on other sites (i dont think im allowed to mention them by name but the really big booking sites) and it will show which cabins are available.

I would kindly ask the OP to reconsider this. A rinse is usually the norm for both garments and wearer! The hand gel only goes so far………….

I assume your comment means "dont go to breakfast dripping sweat" ?

Flattered that you'd over esitmate my abilities at the gym!

  4. Curious what the attire is like onboard. Say in the mornings, if I wanted to grab breakfast after going to the gym would gym clothes be acceptable at the buffet? Or if I wanted to read a book in a comfy chair in a public space would sweatpants and a sweater be acceptable? I have an ocean view room for the first time and I worry I’ll be claustrophobic and want to go relax in the common spaces but not necessarily all done up like I would be for dinner at the main dining room. Thanks for any insight, or personal experience.

We have done all but three of these ports:

    •  Paros – na

    •  Mykonos – we took the 10 am ferry to Delos and had time after we got back to walk around Mykonos old town on our own.

    •  Ephesus – been there twice.  First time we did a private tour (with others from our Roll Call) with Dicle Gundem (diclegundem@gmail.com) – she was terrific, and I see she's still getting good reviews on trip advisor.  The second time we took a Crystal excursion called Ephesus with an Archeological Expert, which was even better because our guide had worked in the Terrace Houses.  You absolutely want a tour of Ephesus that includes the Terrace Houses.  And you absolutely don't want to waste time at a carpet shop!

    •  Rhodes – We took a private tour (with another couple from our Roll Call) called Best of Rhodes and Lindos Tour DT1 (http://www.rhodesprivatetours.com/best_of_rhodes_and_lindos_tour.htm) – it was terrific and covered everything I had identified.

    •  Agios Nikolaos – na

    •  Santorini – if you've never been to Oia, I would take the boat from the tender dock to Ammoudi Port (which includes a bus up the cliff to Oia) – but make sure you get off the ship early because the last boat left before we got there.  Then the local bus back to Fira, and maybe visit the Museum of Prehistoric Thira, the Orthodox Cathedral, the Catholic Cathedral, and the Santozeum art gallery.  If you've already been to Oia, look for an excursion of a small boat sail around the caldera.

    •  Gythion – na

    •  Argostoli – we did the Azamara excursion Cephalonia’s Northern Villages (Assos, Fiskardo – with ouzo and a snack, and a photo op overlooking the famous Myrtos Beach) which we enjoyed very much.

    •  Corfu – there is a HoHo bus that will take you to all around the old town and out to Prince Philip's birthplace Mon Repos.

Wow this is so kind of you to take the time to give me this advice. Thank you so much.

  6. I will be new to Azamara if I book the Greece intensive cruise in June on the Journey. The ports are listed below.

I am wondering what your experince is like being in these ports.

Are shore excursions necessary for every port, or are some of these ports walkable to things to do? I would like a mixture of both.

I'm trying to figure out how much to budget for shore excursions for the trip so any information on costs would also be appreciated.

  7. I am torn between taking the Pursuit Italy vs Journey Greece intensive cruises in mid June. I would love any feedback on either the differences between the ships and ports or personal experiences on either ship to help me choose. I am interested in exploring the ports as much as possible by foot and doing some strenuous hiking/adventurous excursions. Thank you for any advice.

@MR_TThose prices seem completely out of whack with the others. Wonder why so expensive?

    👇LOOK at these prices for a 4 NIGHT👇

Move up offers from an aft SKY SUITE

    • Ship:  EDGE
    • Length of Cruise: 4 nights
    • Cruise Sail Date: 07 November
    • Date email offer received: no email (accessed website 25 August)
    • Captain’s Club Tier: Select
    • Booked through Celebrity Direct OR via TA: Celebrity
    • Current Cabin: Sky Suite S1
    • Bid?  Yes/No: NO

    If YES -  Bidding Details:

    • Cabin Category:
    • Bid Offer:
    • Notification Date:
    • Accepted / Rejected:

Below are the minimum bids I was offered:

    CS: 700

    RS: 1200

    EV: 2700

    PH: 3450

    Iconic: 6000

These seem ridiculous to me for a 4 night cruise. Also the balcony on my current SS is larger than the CS and RS combined. I may bid on  the EV if they drop the minimum. 74 days till sailing so anything could happen.

  9. I am going to upgrade to a corner suite on the Edge. I can choose deck 11,10,9,or 7.

Are the verandas bigger on the lower decks? Are you visible from above?

Id like to hear peoples opinions on higher vs lower decks on aft facing S1 suites in particular. Thanks!

You can find the menu on the Celebrity app under Dining >Room Service >Room Service:Suite Guests.   Even if you don’t have a cruise booked you can look it up.  My two cents is you can also write in food.  I love smoked salmon and when I write it in there they bring it.  Hope this helps!

Thanks so much!! Super helpful. Looks like I can’t get that info quite yet. My cruise is 75 days away.

A must do is dinner in Eden, one of the best if not the best dinner we’ve had on a cruise ship.

So I’m traveling solo this trip, my hubs couldn’t make it. Do you think it would be odd  to do Eden alone? I wish you could eat at the bar at some of the specialty restaurants. I have no problem eating alone at a bar but I always feel super uncomfortable eating at a table all by myself.

The pool was normally packed but didn’t have any issues getting chairs by the pool waiters kept coming around with drinks , bar area in retreat was shaded . We are looking forward to sky suite on beyond in November. Staff in retreat area and Luminae were excellent.

I would expect the pool to be crowded at times. I was in the Haven on NCL once and we had the pool almost to ourselves the whole cruise. It was fantastic.
