  1. I was booked to go on my first Norwegian cruise sailing out of Venus on the Dawn July 5th. Reading how Norwegian has handled this crisis versus the other cruise lines I have cancelled my cruise. I will go back to sailing on Royal Caribbean and Carnival like I always have. I think people are crazy to not cancel a cruise with this company if you still have time to without penalty.
  2. Thank you very much. I was on the inaugural cruise with the Horizon but I didn't bring magnets. I am going on again in three weeks and have magnets this time.
  3. Does anyone know if the walls and or ceiling on the Horizon are magnetic?
  4. Coevan, My husband did not have the flu this was confirmed by the doctor on Carnival and the Doctors at miami hospital.
  5. I use to think that people were crazy to complain about food on cruise ships until I sailed on the Victory in June 2017. The food was so bad I was shocked. My husband got food poisoning the second day and ended up having to get an ambulance off the cruise ship. Since then I have sailed on Horizon and the food was great. I don't know why that ship was so bad but there were a lot of people we were hanging around with that had the same opinion as us on that ship. My husband and I will be sailing on the Horizon in 90 days I am hoping the food is as good as it was when I was on the inaugural cruise so my husband will not boycott Carnival in the future.
  6. I would definitely cancel the trip. You are coming from Canada, talk to your insurance company because to my knowledge if you go and anything happens to do with your husbands condition you would not be covered medically. My husband and I had to cancel a vacation because of a medical situation before a trip and were told you have to be stable 6 months prior to your trip. You don't want to take a chance in the United States with no insurance. We also are from Canada and have had to use medical insurance for emergency on cruise ship, use RBC it is the best we were even told that by Doctor at the Miami hospital.
  7. I will be going on my third b2b cruise in May. You do not get any discount to my knowledge, If you book to same cabin for both cruises than you don't have to pack everything and move it. I call Carnival and book over the phone to make sure I am getting same cabin both cruises. They get you to meet in an area in the morning and someone takes you off the ship and then back on ship right away. You must still go to the muster drill even though you just did it on last cruise. It is worth it I only do B2B cruises now.
  8. I have been on Hal and I am 48, you will never catch me on that cruise line again. Everything shut down at midnight and the comedians were not funny at all they have to be very careful what they say on that cruise line. My 75 year old father won't even go on a Hal ship ever again because he says he wants to have some life around him.
