  1. Really? Amazing how repairs can be done so quickly. Bravo to the repair crew! Question... What does GR stand for in relation to the Fournier Bay? Just curious.
  2. Looking at my Marine Traffic App it seem Polaris is on her way to Greece, probably for repairs… Fair winds and calm seas to her and her crew. Hope she’s ready for passengers again soon.
  3. From my Marine Traffic App it looks like Polaris is on her way to Greece, probably somewhere to be repaired. Hope she is ready for passengers again soon. Fair winds and calm seas to her and her crew.
  4. How lovely to be in that part of the world for the Summer Solstice! 🙂
  5. I suspect this is a supply chain issue. If you produce spirits it is certainly more time consuming to put them in the little bottles. I had a friend who made potions and lotions and she hated making the samples. Sometimes she’d just give you a full sized bottle as a gift to try… if you were a regular customer. 🙂
  6. Thank you @knoxclone! I'm sailing the partial transit out of and back to Fort Lauderdale in January and this was useful! I hadn't realize how much damamge the hurricane did so I will adjust my expectations. I booked my own flights home and they depart later in the afternoon. My friend and I are going to do a short day spa/ lunch adventure before we head over to the airport. SOunds like that might have been a very good decision indeed!
  7. I wonder if the tardy guides might have been notified by the ship about the medical situation requiring a later sail away…
  8. If your cruise is i Jamaica on Sunday be aware that some establishments will be closed.
  9. I did that years ago on a trip to Jamaica. It’s a little hokey and commercial… but once you’re floating on the river it is very relaxing!
  10. Thank you! This doesn't seem to be what was advertised really. Especially since this is billed as "Privileged Access". I think I'd expect a little more... I appreciate your candor and will discuss with the rest of the folks traveling with me.)
  11. So I'm wondering if this might have been less than expected because you visited just after the storm? Maybe some of the roads you were supposed to travel in on had storm damage blocking the way? The description mentions a 'picnic' was that dropped entirely? And the visit to the banana plantation? We are currently booked on this inthe morning and the canal in the afternoon... but I could put this money towards a massage... or drinks by the pool...
  12. I think you'll be on the cruise before ours... we sail on Jan. 4. we also booked that "Monster Bus" and are now wondering if the canal cruise might just do instead. Please keep us posted on your experiences with both! 🙂
  13. I don’t understand why ships have all that space dedicated to very expensive jewelry. Is there a special tax deal or something?
  14. I suspect if Viking stocked a basic pair of men’s pants, even just one color, in a variety of popular sizes they might turn a profit.
  15. I've actually seen pants similar to mine in a catalog with matching robe! 🙂 I actually think my pants are quite a find... they are not exactly the same as the ones posted. Perfect for packing in your carry on, since paired with a simple shirt and nice shoes and probably a necklace you look very nice for dinner! (After all no shirt, no shoes, no service...right?)😆
  16. Note: Sometimes people have previously downloaded content they might like to watch. (That said... I don't reallly spend much time watching TV on board...)
  17. Well here’s more fodder for the PJ bottom debate. I always make sure I have this kind of bottom in my carry on with a nice top to go with them. In a pinch they are nice enough for dinner in the dining room, and if you need pajamas they work too! I may regret posting this if any of ya’ll call me out in the dining room one evening! https://shop.pbs.org/HZ9337.html?p=1&OP1=TQ&OP2=L&websource=PBSGOOGLE7&source_code=PBSGOOGLE7&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&coupon_code=PBSGS21&websource=PBSGOOGLE76&source_code=PBSGOOGLE76&gclid=Cj0KCQjwk5ibBhDqARIsACzmgLR9dvy_7Z7xUa0KdM0c708oqu8FtjLDQyAtJS18RcgOVDqouM8Lfr0aAjLjEALw_wcB#gallery-1
  18. Just to point out… if a person has luggage that has gone missing they might be finishing up laundry at breakfast so they have something clean to wear on the next excursion. And I do think this is perfectly acceptable in that situation. Yes she could have breakfast in her room. But maybe her traveling companion is still sleeping or maybe she just wants to be able to enjoy the beautiful ship. She did pay for full use of the ship as we all did. I think we can all put forth an effort at affording each other a bit of grace during these still challenging times. After all… when it comes to missing luggage… but for the grace of god and the airline’s luggage staff… it could be us on our next voyage!
  19. Waffles from Mamsen’s with my beloved. Can’t think of a better way to start the day.
  20. I find this particular photo especially offensive. The hog is not even trying to really pretend they were sitting there and just left for bio break or to grab a drink. I would have NO PROBLEM turning in their lost posessions. None at all!
  21. The warm ones were on the printed menu when I was on Jupiter this summer. I had the liver one. It was yummy but I get not everyone will go for it. That stew sounds good!
  22. I poked around the internet and found this page on Mamsen's. Including the menu. https://mamsens.com/welcome
  23. Maybe?? But I feel like that is asking A LOT. Since they are serving so many room service breakfasts at once. Espcially on busy port days with lots of early excursions.
  24. How do you store the leftover scone? I love that idea! And I discovered those smoothies later in my first Ocean Cruise this summer... love those litts shots of joy!
