  1. Much cheaper to purchase the photo package prior to sailing. I bought the all inclusive digital package before my 7 day sailing on Freedom of the Seas and paid $199 online. It was $250 onboard. They did have a promo for $25 off the digital package, but that still comes out to more than I paid online. So I definitely saved a bit of money there by doing it early. 🙂
  2. Hi, I just sailed on Freedom last month and my dad has a CPAP machine that he brought. Don't bring an extension cord as Royal doesn't allow you to bring them and they confiscate it from you (happened to my dad when we sailed on Anthem). We called Royal about 2 weeks prior to sailing to let them know he was bringing his CPAP and that he wanted Distilled Water and an extension cord. When we arrived to our room, the distilled water was there but the extension cord wasn't. After having to visit guest services, they delivered a long extension cord to our room at around 10:30pm. We had a junior suite and the machine had to be plugged into the outlet by the vanity, on the other side of the room.
  3. Hi! So I actually went on Freedom in the beginning of July. We stayed at the Sheraton that is right across the street from the pier- the Puerto Rico Resort & Convention Center. We left there and got to the pier at 11:15am. No joke I was walking on the ship at 11:30am- we never stopped for a minute except to check in at the desk (which we had a suite as well and it literally took 5 minutes). I would recommend that. When we dropped our luggage off there were people there but not many so it was fairly organized and easy to walk around. We went to Windjammer for lunch and we were able to find a table without a problem. Also, there is a bar across from guest services that was perfect when we got onboard and we hung there for a while too and we were practically by ourselves. If you want to learn more about Freedom, check out my blog posts here: https://thehappiesttravels.com/2019/07/16/freedom-of-the-seas-cruise-review/ I also have a post all about the Main Dining Room Menus!
  4. Absolutely! They can definitely bring their own hair dryer. I usually bring my regular, full size one but since I flew this time, I brought a travel size dryer with me and it worked great. I never like using the one in the room. It makes my finger tired from holding the button! 🙂 Enjoy!
  5. Of course! No problem! Hope you enjoy your cruise in December! We had a great time! The staff was really awesome on the ship as well which made the experience even better! 🙂
  6. Hi! During my cruise on Freedom a few weeks ago, the RCCL app didn't work. I logged in and tried specifically when I was on the ship but it did not work unfortunately.
  7. Hi! I sailed on Freedom about 3 weeks ago! It was great. If you want, I have a blog post here all about the ship and things to do. Plus, I also have another one on my blog about the food and menu's in the MDR. I also stayed in a Junior Suite on Freedom so I have some info about that room type as well. About the Ship Blog: https://thehappiesttravels.com/2019/07/16/freedom-of-the-seas-cruise-review/ Main Dining Room Food Blog: https://thehappiesttravels.com/2019/07/23/freedom-of-the-seas-main-dining-room-review-menus/ If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know! I enjoyed sailing on Freedom a lot! 🙂
  8. Hi Everyone, just wanted to share that my review here on Cruise Critic is up and also includes port information if you are interested. Hope you enjoy! https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=661382
  9. Yes, just had the Deluxe Beverage Package on board Freedom of the Seas and the specialty coffee was included, both at the cafe and in the am at the Windjammer. Our assistant waiter from dinner would work in there and get us Cappuccino, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice and Bottled Water every morning. Highly recommend the DBP- you definitely get your money's worth.
  10. Loved Freedom of the Seas and thought it was a beautiful ship.... but I definitely can see some spots where this refurb will make it look even more beautiful and awesome!
  11. Hi! Yes, I did get the drink package- money well spent. In terms of some bars that were less crowded, I would say the one in the Solarium if you are out by the pool. One bar that I went to quite a few times and it was never crowded was the R BAR, which is across from Guest Services on Deck 5. When I actually got on the ship, that was the first place I went where I had my first drink of the cruise. I went back quite a few times during the cruise and there really was never anyone there, so I recommend that one. The drinks were also really good as well. In terms of crowds, I would say none of the bars were ever really unbearable except the one over by the On Air Club (in front of Studio B). That one always got really crowded for some reason. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of the drink menu at Bull & Bear and there is a reason. I went in there with the intention of looking at the menu, but someone in there had a Bahama Mama that looked amazing so I we went off of her recommendation. I can tell you that they don't make frozen drinks there. My dad wanted to order one and they said they couldn't make it. They made him a "Painkiller" instead and he loved it.
  12. Hi Everyone! In addition to the above menus, here is a link to a blog post which shows you the meals each night as well as a review of the food. https://thehappiesttravels.com/2019/07/23/freedom-of-the-seas-main-dining-room-review-menus/
  13. Hi Everyone! Here are the MDR Menus. I tried to keep them in order of the night and labeled them each which night of the cruise they were. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks!
  14. Hi! Thanks so much! We actually didn't get a boarding day flyer. I do have the Main Dining Room Menus.
  15. I actually do have all of the menus for the Main Dining Room! Would you like to see those as well?
