  1. I got my first dose of Pfizer a few weeks ago. I loathe needles but it didn’t hurt I just felt the pressure of the medicine going in. I had a tiny bit of arm ache but nothing else. I’m hoping my 2nd one this week goes just as well! Congrats to you and good luck to everyone else. I don’t currently have any travel plans. I just wanted to feel a little less anxiety about everything since I’m around a lot of sick/elderly people.
  2. February 16, 2020 on Carnival Horizon. We spent the couple of weeks before they hoping we would make it out before the virus got out of control. We went to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. It was beautiful with near perfect weather. It was an amazing time and I felt especially blessed leaving my cold weather state for the sunny Caribbean. I can’t wait to do it again!
  3. My only deal breakers are: 1. If Covid numbers end up rising instead of declining. 2. If cruise lines raise the cost so much that they price me out lol. The only reason I’m not hopping on a couple of those cruises going out this summer is because I actually do want them to test the waters before I go out there. I’m still not 100% confident in the effectiveness of the vaccines so this will be a great opportunity to show that they do work. My family is about to be fully vaccinated (we take vaccine #2 next week). I just want to know that my elderly hig
  4. I didn’t experience anything that I considered hawking at all. It wasn’t like going to the straw market in Nassau or anything lol. There was no pressure or repeated asking. If you have a different waiter/waitress at dinner every night they might ask you once if anyone wants to order drinks. When you first walk into the atrium on boarding day there may or may not be a person standing there casually saying “drink packages.” At dinner the photographer might walk through or you might pass them and they might ask if you want to take a photo.
  5. Hi! Yes we met on the MSC Divina 😁. That was my first real cruise. It wasn’t perfect but it was enough to get me hooked!
  6. I’m so glad that this board is full of other people who feel giddy after booking a cruise lol. My family thinks I’m crazy!
  7. I’ve only done Allure and it was great! I appreciate this post because right now I’m deciding between Symphony and Oasis. Price is making me want to go with Oasis but I kind of had my heart set on Symphony and I was wondering if there is a big difference.
  8. I’m trying to get an idea of what I might choose to do for my birthday trip for January of 2023. Are the cruise lines expected to release more itineraries?
  9. My next booked cruise is Carnival Mardi Gras 02/19/2022. I really hope cruising is up and running by then, not so I can go, but because if it isn’t then things haven’t improved much. We need things to get significantly better even if normal is still far off. It’s weird that it’s so far away and I still don’t have as much confidence as I want.
  10. I would go for Horizon for the itinerary and consider the extra day a bonus. I’m not anxious to repeat the itinerary you have for Mardi Gras.
  11. I like Festivale, Tropicale, and Jubilee. I don’t like Carnivale because whether the word Carnival is front of it or not, we are going to have to specify that it is a Carnival ship when speaking about it, therefore making it the Carnival Carnivale even if it’s not written on the ship. When I’m talking to people about wanting to sail Mardi Gras I definitely need to preface the Carnival. Also I am baffled when people make their future cruise a topic of conversation yet they don’t know what cruise line they’re taking, what ship, or even where it’s going. We ca
  12. My only con is that some rooms need a facelift. The rugs had stains deep in them. Some of the stains were really big and looked terrible. Other than that the ship was amazing.
  13. I’ve done Carnival Horizon and Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas. Allure has not been amplified yet so it doesn’t have quite as many bells and whistles as Symphony does. Glam factor goes to Royal. Allure is big and grand and spectacular. Horizon is a lot simpler and more of a minimal modern decor. Entertainment will depend upon what you like. I personally feel like Royal is more family friendly. If you think you’d find ice skating shows and water acrobatics interesting you’ll like Royal. I did not attend a comedy show on Royal because I don’t love them so I can’t compare. I c
  14. I’d take the CocoCay/St.Thomas/St.Kitts just because it’s the least common itinerary. The other one is always there, and many people dislike Falmouth.
