We're Booked on their 32 night Black sea out of Southampton for 2022 hoping things will be ok by then .  Saga suites are about 15% more than Cunard QG,  but you get more.  Lovely designed  suite, but I think Cunard QG suites are not well designed,  our P&O suite although same size as Cunard QG  felt much bigger and you get a proper dining table,  P&O feels like a real suite. Saga  looks similiary better designed than Cunard.

In the end intinerary dominates, and we now feel like a 2 week cruise is not long enough, especially for the med out of the UK. P&O now only have four  19day med cruises 2 each on  Arcadia and Aurora, all rest are 2 weeks

Looks like a good deal,  but you'd agree that Saga is significantly dearer. It could be a very attractive choice as a well designed spacious  ship with a lot of extras and some good itineraries  .

Absolutely agree 14 nights not enough we have booked 19 nights on Arcadia in Oct 2022 and Cunard B2B 24 nights in Dec 2022 just love longer cruises

If you paid with a credit card there will be an electronic trail to prove payment to TA was made.

Maybe TA held onto payment? If you did pay with a credit card start a section 75 with CC company.

Hi I think the travel agent is hanging on to our deposits we did pay by credit card and have all the receipts, it’s just so annoying that We can’t contact anyone and keep getting pushed from pillar to post we will in future only book direct then if there are problems you know exactly who to contact.

  3. We have and still are having dreadful experiences with other cruise companies trying to get refunds our Cruise was cancelled in Dec 20 and we still are trying to get our refund as cruise company are denying any deposits have been made and TA saying payments have been made I’m stuck in the middle and trying to get hold of anyone is so difficult.

Good for you. I found out in September of 2019 that I had stage 4 cancer. I scheduled a bunch of cruises afterward (and already had a couple before my diagnosis). Luckily I was able to take my dream QG crossing in December 2019 and a quickie Mexico jaunt from SF in January on Princess. Since then, I've had six cruises cancelled. I booked another Mexico jaunt from LA in late August, and have two one-way QM2 crossings scheduled for October. I'm hoping to be able to take our round trip QM2 crossings in May 2020, and if I can get the other two in before then it will be a bonus. As for scheduling beyond next Spring, we'll see how things proceed.

If they disallow one of our October crossings, I think we'll spend a couple of days in NY, take the Eastbound, and fly home. (Although normally I prefer Westbound crossings for the extra hour)

Hi MarkBear really sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis,  hopefully you have it under control and absolutely get as many cruises in as you can, hopefully cruises will restart this year maybe late summer. In August 2020 I had my fourth cancer diagnosis within the last 10 years so we made the decisions to do what  we enjoy doing and my idea of heaven is to be on a Cunard ship enjoying the QG service and to visit as many countries as possible life is so short and you really have to make the most of everything you have, I’m very positive that we will have more cruises ahead for us all to enjoy good luck lindy

Yesterday afternoon I got my Pfizer Vaccine.

The centre was quite busy but I was in quickly and had to sit and wait afterwards for 15 minutes.

    I didn't feel the injection.

5 Hours later my arm felt slightly painful at the vaccine injection spot.

It is still slightly painful when I lift my arm but no other reaction fortunately.

    Graham.

Welcome back Graham we’ve all missed you 👍glad you’ve had your vaccination hope all is ok Lindy 🤗

My neighbour has just told me that I broke the law yesterday, which I admit to doing but there were extenuating circumstances.  She is upset because I let my niece leave her 10 year old daughter with us when she and her husband went for an appointment to discuss the next stage of her cancer treatment. Nan & Gramps were also at a hospital appointment.

Dilemma: Should I have said no and forced them to take her with them?

You absolutely did the right thing for everyone involved

So the current status seems to be that all  P&O cruises up until 24th June have disappeared, but no 10 o’clock announcement made.🤷‍♀️

    Odd.

Same as Cunard  cruises disappeared off website until last week in June I’m awaiting news of my round trip transatlantic on June 9th fully expecting it to be cancelled but would like confirmation

  8. We love cruising for us it’s the best way to holiday to see different places without the hassle of travel is great the transatlantic crossing is fantastic we enjoy it so much we do the round trip there is so much to do onboard to enjoy I’m sure your other half will become hooked as we did, looks like our June one is going to be cancelled but hopefully yours will still go ahead in Oct 🤞🏻

  9. Our payment will be due soon via TA really hoping it will be cancelled first we also have B2B cruises on QE booked from 4july hoping that will also be cancelled. We will both be fully vaccinated don’t like the idea of wearing masks around the ship the indecisive decisions are very unsettling wish they would just cancel all sailings until everyone is vaccinated and it’s safe to cruise again.

  10. Hi Graham my daughter goes to same eye hospital as you and last week had a steroid implant into the back of her eye and if it’s successful they will do her other eye🤞🏻Hope your appointment at the hospital  and vaccination goes well

Just had a text from my doctor's.

I have been invited for my vaccine jab on Wednesday.

I have an eye appointment with the consultant in the Wednesday morning so I have booked the vaccine jab for 5pm at Millfield health centre Sunderland.

Fantastic news Graham we’ve just got back home from having our jabs at a local pharmacy 👍no problems at all didn’t even feel a thing

Sometimes Graham I think it's a combination of good luck, determination, staying power and of course love. We all change as we get older, and the person I was when we married is not the same person that I am today, neither is Frank. Our likes and dislikes alter as do our personalities. Compatable at 17 may not be at 37, 57 or 77. We are fortunate to still love the same things, even the new things that we have encountered throughout our life, and I'm thankful for that, as couldn't imagine my life without him.

    Avril

That is so very true, we are definitely not the same people we were but now we love and respect each other more than ever and couldn’t imagine our lives any different and I do enjoy having a good argument every now and then.

Pauline is 58 so cohort 8.

It is 3 months since my positive covid19 test and resulting 4 weeks in bed so not a panic for me.

1 friend 58 in cohort 8 got her vaccine today.

Her SIL 35 is back home in UAE and he received a text from the same doctors for vaccine.

My doctor's surgery said they have not received anything yet for cohort 6 (me).

    Surgery's about 3 miles apart.

Mine is in a health centre with a few other surgeries so possibly they are all banded together.

Hopefully things will work out soon for you both,  I think where I am in Durham we are seriously lagging behind when I hear about younger healthier people being offered their jabs.
