Having gone through this minefield recently and that involved cancelling policies because of incorrect cover I can say with certainty that SureStay provide the required cover and are a very reasonable price.

I would also add I have no affiliation with them.

We’ve just taken out our annual policy with staysure and happy with the price and the cover they are providing us with.

Ha ha... You lot are hilarious.. Some of the most historically negative posters on here are jumping on the 'positivity' bandwagon and are spouting about 'everyone is entitled to their opinion' when they are usually the first to shut posters down when they don't agree with them.

I can't be reading this nonsense anymore.

I genuinely wish most of you well and will hopefully bump into you on a cruise one day, please come and say hello.

    Happy cruising...

Hi Andy please don’t leave the forum, I really hope it isn’t anything I’ve posted that has upset you, if so I do apologise. Lindy

I don’t but I was responding to the comments made  I just like positivity in these trying times

Hi Bazrat I absolutely agree with all your comments and after the terrible year we’ve all had with losing loved ones the doom gloom sadness we’ve all experienced, for me personally I have to keep positive and look forward to the future, I am so happy for everyone who has booked a holiday of any type or booked haircuts beauty salons a meal out meeting family and friends again and looking forward to returning to some kind of normal, or what’s the alternative sit at home and wait for what !! Just doesn’t bear thinking about.

If it’s rains whilst we’re cruising around the UK we actually don’t really care, we will sit back depending on time of day have a drink and watch the world go by.

Yes me too we don't need the sunshine( but it is nice) to be able to enjoy ourselves and it's very uplifting to see everyone booking and looking forward to being back on board.and life returning to some kind of normal.

Don't bother trying ( at the moment ) to book these cruises on the Website ( you may have so many questions you'll need answering )  Call Cunard direct ,or use a 'Cunard preferred' Cruise specialist company.

Thank you have used a Cunard cruise specialist so hopefully all will be confirmed Wednesday 👍

I can't rush OH as she also wants to see what Princess and (coming soon) Celebrity has to offer. Of course, picking a cabin is such a big carrot, so we may be joining LadyL in the bun-fight on Wednesday ☺️ or as you have done, try an online TA :-- If you look at the 14th June trip and click on balconies, you'll see a warning note about rooms 4001 - 42 have metal fronted balconies. I guess it's because the cabin is low down and at the front.

Good luck anyway please post when you’ve booked up🤞🏻

We have just spoken to Cunard directly on the phone and they are not pre-registering any of the QE Summer 2021 bookings before 31st March

You need to register your interest with a TA as the cruises are released to them first then the price will increase

When we booked direct for our QE cruise for the 14th June '21 (now cancelled by Cunard) we could choose our balcony cabin number.

We have some FCC and are interested in 3rd Sept round Britain with stops at Holyhead, Liverpool and Glasgow.

Ah well done, picking own cabin is a must for us, especially after reading Host Hattie's long list of obstructed cabins (above). Yep a good TA would know which ones to avoid

Hope you manage to get booked up with the choice of cabin you want 👍

In conversation with my TA/cruise specialist today ( 26th March) I understand  two of the 4 day itineraries are 'almost' fully booked, via pre registration .

This morning, Cunard Line unexpectedly allowed  pre registration for these British Isle cruises .

I managed to get in quick for a seven day trip ,however, on a guarantee basis for PG.

Hi how did you pre register with Cunard on website or phone we are looking to book one of the 7 day cruises round Britain

I suspect we may have the same one. No names mods don't worry. I wonder what adventures I will have when I attempt to transfer my upcoming November 2021 because we don't want to wear mask and can't do the Bahamas entry test from onboard our Royal ship.

Good luck we have now opted for all our cancellations to be refunded even though we will have lost out on the extra 25% FCC just not worth the hassle

If a TA withheld a percentage of the deposit, and the trip was cancelled, when Cunard offer to enhance the amount paid by 25%, does that also apply to the monies held by the TA?

    Sounds a bit dodgy.

Yes that’s exactly how we found out because Cunard were only offering 25% of the 5% deposit then we queried with TA where was the 10% to be told the head office was in receipt of it.

  12. Yes Cunard know, it’s one of the biggest agencies they use it’s an agreement they have with them shocking but I suppose that’s how they do business just waiting for my refund and then  I will delete them out of my life.

And they earn interest on that 10% withheld money no doubt. I am surprised Cunard would go for that.

So were we absolutely gobsmacked, it’s taken a lot of grief to recover all our deposits from previous cruises.

Reading so many of your posts I realise, not for the first time, how lucky I was to have been in a bubble with my immediate family; that's my daughter,  son-in-law, and two granddaughters. Without them, and my dog, this past year could have been unbearable for me. So, I just want to say that I really feel for you all who are longing for those family hugs that hopefully will be coming your way very soon.

After nearly 2 weeks away, I'm going back to work tomorrow. We've agreed that I will cut down by one day per week with a view to 2 days in 2022 so we'll see how that pans out. I'm also going to continue with the vaccine volunteering but again, much pared down from previously.  Fingers crossed!

I've been so excited to read all about your staycations - and almost tempted to book one, but have resisted- so far!  Best wishes to all. Jane.x

Hi Jane so pleased your feeling better and feeling well enough to go back to work, and everyone appreciates all you’ve done and are continuing to do,. It’s very uplifting seeing everyone booking their cruises and we’re all looking forward to better things, covid will be with us for a long time and we have to take all the necessary precautions and learn to live safely with it, be tempted and book one it’s something to look forward to 👍Lindy x

    Time to change agents?

Absolutely right, and have done already but still waiting for my  cancelled transatlantic June cruise deposits to be refunded then will not touch them with a barge pole.

  16. That has not been my experience with the TA we booked through

apparently they had a (deal) with Cunard that when we pay 15% deposit they transfer 5% to Cunard and keep the balance in their coffers till payment is required I have this in writing from one of their staff. The problems arose last year as all the offices closed and we were trying to locate where our deposits had gone not a good experience for us.
