That was the point I was alluding to , personally not bothered about meeting captains , however captain love danced with my good lady while we were on the Ligurian event on Aurora during the Amazon adventure earlier this year and was very personable , the whole feel of the ship changed when captain robson took over 🤨

Agree totally re jam shed , it’s our favourite Shiraz and it was very disappointing that it’s been taken off the wine list ,the fact it can be bought cheaper at home is no different to many other wines that p and o serve , we may be just one couple but we didn’t drink much wine on our last two cruises as the choices were not to our liking , whereas we would have bought numerous bottles of jam shed had it been available , we enjoy the glasshouse but it’s not the same with the different offerings wine wise ☹️

  6. I too have watched this video and was struggling to see any noticeable differences ship wide? Back on again shortly so will take a closer look ,on the subject of dining we have never used club in all our P and O cruises , however when it comes to celebration nights it certainly makes us wish we did ,as it always means a pager and usually a later meal than we would want ( latest on the last cruise was 21.20)

Azamara would be at the top of our list for the level of customer service , food both content and quality and the whole ambience of their ships , to us it lived up to all we had heard and will definitely sail with them again when we find a suitable itinerary, yes they cost more but in our experience we certainly got what we paid for and are prepared to pay it again to enjoy the upmarket feel ,also their ships do not have the feel of been 25 years old which is obviously down to constant maintenance and refreshing of interiors , personal opinion only of course😀

  10. As to the original op we came off her after the 2024 world cruise and she was in need of substantial upgrading , not been on her since the refit ( and probably wont be again) so no idea how much better she now is
  11. Food is always a personal choice ,all I would ask is that whatever is chosen please serve it hot ,not lukewarm
  12. Its just an observation ,but I'm amazed how many people have been treated appallingly by P and O in one way or another , but still continue to book future cruises with them ? Their loyalty surpasses anything I can muster
  13. There's a reason three day cruises are scheduled immediately after a refit (mostly)

  15. A quick question , on their website it states they are 3 miles away ,however reading some replies it appears as if you can walk from the terminal , if it is three miles away how do you get from a to b and does somebody drive your car ? Sorry more than one question!!
  16. So that’s where all the bananas went as we had to ask for them every day and were usually given one only on our recent 65 night Aurora cruise 🤣🤣🤣

I'm in full agreement with Selbourne, the amount of rust on our Aurora balcony was really bad and the shower flow was little more than a fast trickle , we did have somebody to look at it but it made little difference, however we were blessed with both of our neighbors been very courteous and quiet , even though we never got to speak to them over the whole 65 nights ,the sound insulation is a problem we have encountered on Aurora and Arcadia. Regarding the refit/refurb a change to more vibrant and up to date colour schemes would make the ship feel a lot brighter , we always miss sailing after any refit ,usually sailing just before one so as we are aboard again in June it will be interesting to see how the feel of the ship is post refit/refurb
  19. Just an update on my OP , I have now checked with my Ta after receiving confirmation from Stockperks of share offer been redeemed and the missing amount has now been applied to my obc.😊 Thank you to everybody who replied and gave guidance to my OP

Our first Fred cruise last year offered a full drinks package for £25 pp per day, every time we ordered a drink we were asked if we wanted doubles (at no extra cost), never saw anybody under the influence and very impressed with the whole package , might cost more but the extra was well worth it (food ,decor been kept informed ,shore excursions) we will definitely sail with them again when we find the right itinerary

Loved Fred last year ,however the sailings out of Newcastle (which is our nearest port ) do appear to be much of a muchness and go nowhere we haven't already been, we did pay a little more but felt the overall package to be well worth it, and yes the dining was at 20.00 but we were happy with that as we never felt rushed to leave
  22. Thanks , yes I have tried again this morning on the P and O stockperks app , within a minute I received an e mail informing me my action had been redeemed and to wait up to 5 days for confirmation of allocation of OBC, so watch this space 🙄
  23. Thank you ,I have just checked in my app and a confirmation of £150 is showing , However it has the wrong date ( wrong sail date, correct month and wrong cruise reference) and my previous cruise reference on it , boy am I confused🙄
  24. Yes I had £130 obc from the original booking which should now show £280,however after visiting my TA yesterday and receiving an updated invoice it shows only £230🤔

I am wondering if my problem could be related to some of other peoples , I have applied to Stockperks, had confirmation via e mail that its been processed ,then another confirming the offer has been redeemed however I was unable to open what appeared to be a blank e mail with just the header confirming the process. As I booked through a TA I called in only to find that I have been awarded £100 instead of the £150 for my eighteen night cruise, I am unaware of any reduction made by Carnival . I would welcome some thoughts from the many knowledgeable people on this forum . Thanks 🙂
