  1. DH and I are sailing on the Vista next Saturday. I know the skyride is out of commission for September, due to maintenance issues. Has anyone heard if it will be operational for the October 5th sailing? Has anyone on board this week heard anything from Carnival regarding the skyride? Thanks, in adavance, for any updates.
  2. DH and I will be on the Vista in a couple of months. One of the ports we visit will be Grand Cayman. Can anyone recommend a third-party vendor for a catamaran sail excursion without snorkeling? Is that even doable since snorkeling is so great there? I know we can choose to stay on the catamaran and not snorkel. In the past, we have enjoyed the excursions that included both but just want some sailing time this go around. Thanks, in advance, for any recommendations.
  3. Great! That’s where we will be on our sailing. Thanks to everyone for their input. It is greatly appreciated.
  4. I received an email stating that the movies will be Mary Poppins and Aquaman on our cruise on the 18th aboard the Royal.
  5. Thanks for the info, everyone. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we get lucky and have the new mattresses. If we don’t, oh well, no worries.
  6. Hi, all. We are getting ready to sail on the Royal in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know if the Royal has the new bedding/mattresses installed yet? Thanks, in advance.
  7. Thank you all so much for your responses. They have been very helpful.
  8. We have first seating for traditional dining on our Princess Alaskan cruise in May. We will be on the train from Denali and won’t reach the ship until 5:30. Is the dining schedule flexible on the first night because of all the people who may be getting on board late or do we have to eat at the buffet? Thanks, in advance, for your responses.
  9. We had a cove balcony on the Breeze. It was wonderful. Everyone warned us to move because we were under the galley but there was never any noise from above. Love, love love the cove balcony.
  10. Thank you, but we are on the Royal and I don’t believe Share is one of the restaurants.
  11. I would also be interested, as we are going to Alaska in May.
  12. No, we have two cove balconies and three interior rooms, sailing next month.
  13. Yikes! Guess we will not get much sleep. Thanks for the info. At least we will be prepared!
  14. we booked a cabin under the galley. Now all I see on the boards is "don't book a room under the galley" . Can someone who has stayed in one of these rooms give more information on why it's so bad? What noises can I expect and will it be all night long? Thanks.
