  1. If in fact you could use the flights, since they are nonrefundable you would not be able to change the dates of the flights (at least not without some penalty) - so if the dates did not work for the cruise, presumably they would also not work for the land trip!
  2. I would agree that if you are playing for the entertainment value until your stake is gone, then it really doesn't make much difference. However, if you are using promo chips to convert OBC to cash, then if you bet your promo chips until you lose them and pocket the regular chips you win, on average at the roulette table you will end up with 90% of the face value of the promo chips. At games with a lower house advantage, the percentage is higher but still somewhat less than 100%. If anyone is interested, here's the associated mathematics: At the roulette table, the chances of winning your first promo chip even money bet is 18/38 due to the losing 0 and 00 numbers. Your chances of winning a second time is 18/38 squared; and your chances of winning a third time is 18/38 cubed. This is an infinite series of bets with declining chances of winning and the sum of this series equals: (18/38) / (1 - 18/38) = 18 / (38 - 18) = 18 / 20 or 90%
  3. And if you are a gambler and thinking about giving someone money for their promo chips, you should know that promo chips are not worth as much as real chips since you have to bet them until you lose them. Mathematically it works out that when you use them on roulette they are only worth 90%; at the craps table they are worth around 95% (the worth is affected by the house percentage which is less at the craps table.)
  4. Just checked the UK website to see how they compare with the US website for a balcony cabin on a Reflection cruise in September 2019. The US site offers a choice to include one out of four perks: Classic Beverage Package Unlimited Internet Gratuities $150 OBC per person In contrast, the UK site offers no choices but does include the Classic Beverage Package. And at the current exchange rate of 1.4 dollars per pound, the UK fare (non-refundable) for a 1B cabin is about 12% higher than the non-refundable US fare.
  5. Here is a description of Evening Chic from Celebrity's website: Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. Now, on up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire. Women should feel comfortable wearing: A cocktail dress Skirt, pants or designer jeans with an elegant top Men should feel comfortable wearing: Pants or designer jeans with a dress shirt, button-down shirt or sweater Optional sport coat or blazer Evening Chic means that you can get glamorous and be sophisticated in your own way. If you would like to still wear a tuxedo or formal gown on Evening Chic nights, you absolutely should.
  6. We chose a port cabin for when we went through the Chilean fjords.
  7. Not sure, but I believe that the only perk that carries over to the new reservation is the on-board booking bonus OBC; then you get whatever additional perks are being offered at the time you actual book the particular cruise of interest.
  8. Yes, it always good to get a card from your hotel that has the name and address written in Thai. We always negotiated a price with a taxi before leaving. Same with the tuttuts. Also had situations where they either wanted to take us to a gem shop or renegotiate the price - you just have to be firm. If you get a hotel on the river, the river "buses" are a picturous, inexpensive. convenient way to get to many of the significant sites.
  9. OBC can also be used in the casino; however, they give you special promotional chips that cannot be cashed in - have to be bet until you lose them - of course you also get to keep any winnings! Same thing with the slots - you cannot cash in the OBC but can deposit it in the machine to use until you lose.
  10. The April offer is good through May 2nd - I have never seen a better offer so doubt very much that the May offer will be any better and could be less - would advise you to book during the April offers.
