  1. I LOVED the Tutti salad! Really miss it. I received the survey too. My sample menu had shrimp cocktail, and it had fried chicken. The menu looked fairly good. I told them I’d prefer to see the classics remain.
  2. Yes. I booked two excursions last night through the app and used OBC on both.
  3. Why did I get charged “taxes” of $17.78? 88.98 + 88.98 +17.78. I’m from the U.S. using my Royal B of A Visa.
  4. We went to A and C in September on Allure. Here’s a link to my review: http://click.email.cruisecritic.com/?qs=db6bfdd3f63eb22c65171b1285ff4e963996561aeb6a29963fedb4b874cc075e6c9ae9b3d5d7b795d3e67c8617050a9d010f0c9c72fe0833b72a2ef336acf27e
  5. I’m sorry for what you and your family have experienced. I can only imagine the disappointment. Hopefully you have travel insurance so the financial hit is a minimum and you can still enjoy some time in Spain and change your flight arrangements.
  6. I just came on to post this as well. Here’s a screenshot.
  7. This issue isn't the ability to count. The issue, with us at least, is DH having the refreshment package and also being allotted five free D+ drinks. When you look on the app and see zero for the various drinks, you can't tell which drinks are zero because they were part of the refreshment package or whether they are zero because they were free D+ drinks. This becomes a problem when he gets charged for a cocktail because one of his coffees or sodas were zero for the wrong reason -- because they were charged as D+ instead of being charged as part of the refreshment package. Yes, this! Yes, this!
  8. They can't sell a "fresh" tail. They can sell a live lobster or a flash frozen tail.
  9. You have to wait until the next cruise. You are not diamond until after the cruise is completed.
  10. This is not how it works. Your DD would stay diamond, but her points would reflect the actual number of points she earned. She does not go back to Emerald after turning 18. If this happened to you, it was a mistake.
  11. If anyone is interested, here are links to my last two reviews. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. 9-3-22 Allure 8-night Southern Caribbean: http://click.email.cruisecritic.com/?qs=db6bfdd3f63eb22c65171b1285ff4e963996561aeb6a29963fedb4b874cc075e6c9ae9b3d5d7b795d3e67c8617050a9d010f0c9c72fe0833b72a2ef336acf27e 10-22-22 Adventure 5-night Bermuda: http://click.email.cruisecritic.com/?qs=bf69395c270f821964ef86b163527de7199245558f00e69aeb654f1fb7afe01441e9840d619de6fac259d847b3b60874c758bddae83554174791d50b22611798
  12. Here's an excerpt from my review: We had an 8:30 p.m. reservation at Samba Grill (which is Solarium Bistro during the day). This was a very disappointing meal for a number of reasons. They sat us in a corner right beside the solarium glass, and it was unbearably hot. The temperature was easily in the 80s even though this is an air-conditioned venue. We were so uncomfortable that we asked to move after we had finished our salads and appetizers, which they obliged, but things just went downhill from there. You get your own salads and cold appetizers from the buffet area, but they are pre-plated for the most part and were very good. Trays of hot appetizers are brought to the table, as are trays of hot veggies and a basket of small heavy dough things that I guess were supposed to be rolls. We didn’t care for the dough things. A gaucho comes around with different meats on large skewers and slices them at your table. For some items, you use tongs to grab the meat as he cuts it. It’s a fun concept, but none of our meat was tasty. They had asked us how we liked our beef. DH said medium rare for him, and I said medium for me, and nothing that was served to us had any pink in it whatsoever. It was all well done and dry. Additionally, we sat for over 20 minutes without cocktail refills or water refills. The manager came over at some point and apologized about originally seating us in the hot area. She said it is a constant problem, but she had no reason for why they still seat people there when they know it’s a constant problem. Our server commented on all of the uneaten food on our plates, as did the gaucho, and they offered to try again. We declined. I did have dessert, which is again pre-plated at the buffet, but the servers get them and deliver them to the table. Overall, this restaurant was a huge disappointment, and we were happy that we used a D+ BOGO offer instead of paying full price.
  13. On our last two cruises, DH had coffee and soda charged against his five D+ vouchers despite the fact that he had the refreshment package, and then he got billed for cocktails because his vouchers were used up. Part of me was like who wants to wait in that line over 15 or 30 bucks, but then I thought about how much money they'd make off of people like us if the mistakes weren't corrected.
  14. We were on Allure in September and on Adventure in October. We never had a server tell us how many vouchers we had left. Although we never asked either.
  15. Just received this email: ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Diamond, Diamond Plus & Pinnacle Club Members, As part of our ongoing efforts in reviewing guest feedback, we’re working towards providing you the best onboard experience and avoiding visits to the Guest Services desk. What we noticed was that many visits are related to beverage vouchers provided to our higher tiered Crown & Anchor Society members. Effective on sailings starting this Friday, November 4th, we’ll have all members sign their check when using any beverage vouchers. The benefit of doing this is two-fold: The receipt has a count of your vouchers to help you better track how many you have left. So if you’re a Diamond member, and you have 4 a day – it may tell you 2 of 4 have been redeemed. We noticed many beverage voucher disputes are related to use on a drink you did not want to use it on. For instance, you ordered a $3 coffee and we may have applied your voucher – and you don’t learn about it until you’re at dinner, wanting that nice $13 cocktail and you’re out of vouchers. While it’s a little more work for our teams, by having you have your hard check – you can better control both your count and the proper application! We know how much this benefit means to you and we want you to fully enjoy it. I know I’d prefer you enjoy your vacation, instead of spending time inquiring about drink discrepancies with our teams. We appreciate your loyalty and openness to helping us make your cruising experience the best there is! Sincerely, Aurora Yera-Rodriguez AVP | Guest Experience Royal Caribbean International
  16. My kids never got the free photo. My 19-year-old stepson didn't even get the photo.
  17. You don’t have to get the prix fixe. You can pay a la carte.
  18. DH and I don’t do sushi. We ate at Izumi (non hibachi) last week on Adventure and loved it! We did the prix fixe and were very happily surprised at how much we enjoyed it. And we used our D+ BOGO, so the price was right too! Edited to attach the Adventure menu. Sorry it’s not a great picture.
  19. DH always bought the DBP, and we used to buy the DBP for both of us when Royal made it mandatory for all adults in one cabin. DH easily got his money’s worth, but I never did. However, we have sailed twice since reaching D+ and didn’t purchase the DBP either time. Our first D+ sailing was on Allure in a suite, so we had free drinks all day in the suite lounge (which was just down the hall from our suite), including with dinner in Coastal Kitchen. The suite lounge bartenders were happy to let you leave with drinks. We also had the two bottles of wine that we carried on, a bottle of champagne (D+ room amenity), two bottles of beer (D+ welcome gifts), four bottles of water in the cabin, and the big glass bottles of water that our loft attendant replaced daily which DH used in the coffee maker. DH had the refreshment package (mainly for soda and iced coffee) but in hindsight says he really wouldn’t have needed it. He liked getting espresso in the suite lounge. I often didn’t use all five of my D+ drinks, so I’d get DH a drink with one of my vouchers. Our second D+ sailing was on Adventure in a balcony cabin. We had our two bottles of carry-on wine, the D+ bottle of champagne & 2 bottles of beer & 2 bottles of water. DH made Prime the first night in the casino, so he had free drinks in the casino for the rest of the cruise. He had the refreshment package for his iced coffee and soda. I didn’t always use my five D+ drinks. We have three upcoming cruises in suites, two on Oasis and one on Ovation, and DH will still be Prime for all three. We definitely won’t purchase the DBP, and DH won’t purchase the refreshment package on Oasis. I doubt that he’ll purchase the refreshment package on Ovation even though drinks are only free in the suite lounge in the evenings (aside from the coffee machines). That cruise has a lot of sea days so he can get sodas in the casino if he wants them. And of course we’ll have our D+ drinks. OP, if we didn’t stay in suites and if DH weren’t Prime, he’d definitely get his money’s worth from the DBP even though he’s D+. I would not get my money’s worth and would have to call to purchase the DBP for him and the refreshment package for me.
