  1. They take pictures which you can buy. But you can put somebody with a camera across from the sea lion and have him snap a picture of you as you approach the sea lion. Who will kiss you [emoji182]

That's what we will do then. Thanks!!

  2. The walk through the Mayan "jungle" with a guide is free and excellent. We take that free tour every time we go. We always use the coupon and buy the basic package. Most of the park is free. Good snorkel area which is free if you bring your own equipment. Sea lion show is short, cute, and free.

You can share a cab there or back with other people from the same ship and it is cheaper. Usually cabs are priced per trip not per passenger. Check the big wooden board outside the port for the posted fares. They are posted to protect passengers from cab drivers who overcharge for trips to the main tourist locations.

Can you interact and take pics with the sea lions after the show? I know you can buy the sea lion encounter where you actually get in the water with them but It seems like I seen somewhere that after the free show they will let you come and sit on a bench if you want pics with them and then they sell you the pics.

  3. We will be on the Dream in March and will be in Cozumel from 10am-6pm. We have decided to go to Carlo's and Charlie's. Does anybody know how far it is from the port? Can we walk there and is there enough to do to stay that long? Is there shopping within walking distance from Carlo's and Charlie's or would we have to get a cab?

  4. I am also looking for this information.. We are docking in Montego Bay and I am currently considering Sunscape Splash and Grand Palladium. There are 3 Adults, 50, 51 & 71. Not huge drinkers just looking for ease of getting there and an available pool with a view hopefully!

I just went and looked at those 2 and they both seem really nice. Maybe somebody will have some input on those.

  5. I changed my cruise date under early saver. You will lose 50$ per person as an administrative fee. The rest of your deposit will be given as a future cruise credit. It is much easier if you already know what cruise you want to swap to. I lost the 100$ but got it back by checking fares often. One of the perks of early saver.

Thank you. If I have to change dates maybe I will recoup some of my loss too. :)

  6. They would keep it as a credit for a future cruise. I believe you would need to rebook within a year but I am not positive on that.

Also just found this on Carnival's website..

Does Early Saver and Early Saver Last Call follow Carnival’s standard deposit, payment and cancellation terms?

    • The deposit and payment terms are the same. Guests who cancel prior to the final payment date will receive a future cruise credit in the amount of the deposit received less a $50 USD service fee per person.
    • Future cruise credits are issued in the name of the original payee, regardless of whether they were ever booked in the cancelled reservation. For bookings paid with a travel agency credit card or check, the cruise credit will then be issued in the name of the cancelled guest.
    • The future cruise credit can only be redeemed on bookings made in USD currency, will be applied to guests’ cruise fare, is non-refundable, non-transferable and any unused portion will be forfeited.
    • Guests must sail within 24 months from the date of the cancellation.
    • Cancellations that occur after the final payment due date are subject to standard cancellation penalties.

What if I need to make changes to my ship or sailing date?

    • Ship and sailing date changes are allowed prior to the final payment due date, subject to a $50 USD service fee per person, per change.
    • Changes made after the final payment due date are subject to standard cancellation penalties.

Am I reading this wrong or does it sound like all we would lose is $50 per person as long as we decide what to do before final payment due date? I am at work or I would call. I will call them tonight when I get home. Just thought I would see what your opinion is on how this reads.

  7. If you paid early saver, you most likely will lose your deposit as Carnival doesn't allow changes with Early Saver. You can call and find out what the penalty is but I am positive you will have to pay one. There's also a spot under Manage my booking on Carnival.com. Go to the details and in the box where it says my itinerary my activities is a link that says is there a penalty for canceling this booking. Click on it and it will tell you what you will have to pay. Even if you change dates, Carnival will cancel the booking and create a new one with the new date.

Thank you. I just went and clicked on the link and it says I would lose $250 on each booking to cancel so a total of $500. Do you know what would happen to the other $500? Would it be refunded or would it have to put toward another cruise?

  8. I have a 7 day cruise booked for March. I have 2 rooms with 2 people in each. When I booked the special was half off deposits which made them $125 a person with a $50 on board credit for each room. I went ahead and paid the full deposit of $250 per person so I have paid a total of $1000. I did not buy the insurance. The final payment is due by Jan 2nd. Here is my question..Recently my mom has become very ill, so If I need to change the cruise date to a much later cruise would I be able to do that without the insurance and would they transfer the $1000 I have already paid to a future cruise? I am assuming I would lose the OBC. Also, not sure if it matters but I booked early saver. If I need insurance to not lose my money , is it too late to take the insurance?? This is only my second cruise so I am still a newbie. I pray my mom will be ok but trying to prepare for what I may need to do. Thanks in advance for any help!!

  9. I agree with this. I originally felt awful for the parents and thought it must have been a freak accident, but now that they are trying to blame the cruise line, I have lost sympathy. There is no senario here where the cruise line is at fault, except in a very twisted view of reality. Our children are incredibly rambunctious, crazy really (I will be able to sleep better when they are older-- yes it is that bad), and yet there would be no situation where one could just fall over a railing unless they were climbing on it. One of our kids is 8 and seriously disobedient but even he would never, ever climb a railing or lean over it. We have been on many cruises and balconies or railings have never been an issue. But... we do not leave our children unattended ever. That may be the difference.

Please don't say your child would NEVER do something. You NEVER know what a child might do!! Also, I guess you have never taken your eyes of off your kids for even a few seconds because that's all it takes.

  10. I have reserved a room here which is already pretty high, now I see self parking is $44 and valet is $49. We are parking at Fulton Garage for the week of the cruise. Does anybody know if it's possible to park there a day early and would we be able to walk to hotel from there with our luggage?

  11. :(:(:(:(I read on here that if I go to Manage My Booking on the Cunard home page I can make my final payment on line but I don't see "Manage My Booking" anywhere. I'm on the .com not the.uk site. Can someone please help. FYI Final payment isn't due until October but we want to get it finalized as we will be busy at that time. Thanks

Go to carnival.com and scroll down to bottom of page . It's under the already booked. It is called manage my cruises.
