  1. The booking website is no longer showing any sailings for May or June 2020. MVJ is displaying an error message. Just a matter of time before official announcement.
  2. Christmas Eve Martini on the Sky 2019
  3. I will join you at the bar, a glass of Vino Verde please!
  4. Check out some of the Roll Calls. The Sea is sailing the Med in May and one of the passengers put together a spreadsheet of shore excursions, Barcelona to Athens.
  5. The triple chocolate dessert for the Mexican Menu in the Chef’s Table was fabulous.
  6. The Viking Voyager app is amazing! Did you know My Viking Journey isn’t available once you board the ship, it is strictly a planning tool. The Voyager app allows you to make appointments, reservations, check your calendar, see the Viking Daily, and so much more. A few passengers had older versions of the app on our cruise in December, they couldn’t view the menus. Deleted the app and reinstalled it, solved that problem.
  7. Verify the cabins when you book! Don’t depend on my notes and typing abilities! The door configurations were explained as the structural ‘Bones’ of the ship.
  8. I noted which PV cabins have hinged doors from a previous post. We have stayed in both, no preference. 4012, 4014, 4020, 4022 4013, 4015, 4021, 4023 5010, 5012, 5018, 5020, 5030, 5032, 5084, 5086, 5092, 5094, 5100, 5102 5011, 5013, 5019, 5021, 5031, 5033, 5085, 5087, 5093, 5095, 5101, 5103 6002, 6004, 6006, 6010, 6012, 6074, 6076, 6082, 6084, 6090, 6092 6003, 6005, 6007, 6011, 6013, 6075, 6077, 6083, 6085, 6091, 6093

It was a great cruise, we made all the ports and the seas weren’t too rough. Really appreciated the sea days As a break from the touring.
  10. Check out the Viking Sea Roll call for May 6, 2020. CharTrav has a Dropbox detailed listing of excursions and prices.
  11. Read the description of the tours carefully. Panoramic is generally a bus tour with a couple of stops. Depending on location, even the walking tours can start with a bus ride to exit the port authority area. Group size is 25-30? Viking offers multiple times for the included tours, but you must sign up and have a ticket. We tend to do a mixture of included, paid and private. Arranged private tours using the roll call for our sailings. I have found the cost of a private tour is less than what Viking offers.
  12. In a plastic bag open a Vanity Box. Lots of packaging for 3 cotton pads, not balls and 3 Q-tips. I just stopped at at a pharmacy and bought some Q-tips for our Transatlantic.
  13. Here is the response from Viking about tastings / mixology classes and the Silver Spirits Beverage Package “While most specialty tastings and classes are not covered by the purchase of the Silver Spirits Beverage Package (SSBP), on occasion, the ship staff may arrange such events for the benefit of our SSBP guests. Details about these happenings will be available on board; we encourage you to inquire at the Explorers’ Desk upon embarkation.” Cheers!
  14. I sent a question to tellus@viking.com and will let the forum thread know the response.
  15. We flew out of San Juan in 2018, late afternoon flight like yours. At 9:30, the ship allowed us to clear customs, kept our passports, gave us a day pass and allowed us to return to the ship with our hand luggage. We spent time relaxing in the Explorer’s Lounge, watching the new passengers begin to arrive. Had lunch at the pool grill, and were transferred to the airport about 12:30.
