  1. Yes it's offered in the app when you're activating.
  2. How many hours per day are you playing on slots to gain 10K points? How much $ per bet? I spent around $12K on past 4 day cruise and only racked up 22K points. Anyone else please feel free to chime in, it seems to me that if I bet lower amounts I get more kickbacks which can keep me playing longer but it takes many hours daily to accumulate the points where as if I do bigger bets $5-$50 per spin I'm "buying" points more quickly, but less total points over the coarse of the week. I have a friend that says he spends roughly $6K to gain 25K points on a week long cruise but does the lower bets only and is in the casino 6+hrs daily.
  3. Venezia has Starlink right? How's the Premium WiFi on this ship? Can we stream movies like on netflix?
  4. Hi! Our first cruise on Venezia. Did you find the casino smokey? Also were other parts of the ship smokey? I've heard it's pretty bad.
  5. Thank you for a wonderful review! Was the main casino smokey? How about in other parts of the ship, did you smell cigarette smoke? I've read many comments on this ship being extremely smokey.

  7. One name. Warren Buffet. He doesn't live his life like a billionaire and has pledged to leave his money to charity. His choice. This topic can apply to all aspects of life. Humans make choices, some good, some bad. Some people don't drink at all. Some drink in excess. Some people remain monogamous. Some cheat around every corner. Some cook meals. Some buy out every meal. Some don't use drugs. Some use them all. Some don't have kids. Some have 20! Some don't marry. Some marry 4 at once! Some are born with a banana and change it to a peach. Some save every penny they earn until death. Some blow it all. Isn't life grand!
  8. We have 3 rooms on our upcoming Sept cruise. We are 35 days out as of today. The suite allowed an upgrade bid from owners to royal, the other 2 rooms got the 30 days message. Does anyone know if suite upgrades are awarded quickly?
  9. Gonna be a lot of sneezing, coughing, sore throats and diarrhea on cruises very soon.
  10. You will get a survey from Royal a few weeks out asking a series of questions about your upcoming cruise. You will also get an email from your assigned Genie about 2-3 weeks out. They will also ask you a series of questions to best determine your plans and needs. Be specific as to what you all do and don't like as far as drink/food/allergies. They will make selections for you based on your feedback. Tell them what time you want to dine. What time you all plan on waking up and going to bed. What time you all prefer your morning coffee (Starbucks can be delivered to your room daily, unlimited/included). Tell your genie what soda/water/beer (coke products) you'd like in your fridge. Tell your genie about any celebrations and they will make it very special. You'll also get same day laundry/dry cleaning/pressing daily. You can request in advance your favorite canape to be in your suite on embarkation day. Your Genie will provide you with a personal dinner/show schedule which you can request changes if necessary. Be sure to have lunch on sea days in the available specialty restaurants. We like to have lunch in Jamie's on Embarkation day. You can also elect to have a meal in your suite from any of the specialty restaurants. Any food on the ship can be delivered to your suite. We like to have 2 whole pizza's delivered at midnight from Sorrento's for our drunk munch. We love their sugar free lemon cookies or fresh hot chocolate chip cookies. Also the Lemon Meringue Cheesecake from Jamie's is to die for. Apple pie ala mode from Chops, yum. Nachos/Burgers/Wings from Play Makers are bomb. Regarding shows, Genie's usually reserve the first 2 rows for Star Class guests and you can ask your Genie for specific seats if you wish, anywhere in the theater. You can also get popcorn/candy by request. Embarkation day look for the purple Star Class flag. There will be a small podium just outside the doors where you will check in. The Star Class rep will assign you a porter who will take your bags. The rep & porter will escort you inside and up to the private check-in lounge (your luggage stays with you). Your Genie will greet you in the check-in lounge and escort you on the ship and directly to your suite. You will each get a WOW band and wifi code for your devices. Sugar Beach is also included where you can get an ice cream cone/cup with topping and bagged candy. Your Genie will also make whatever Spa appointments you want (charges apply). They can arrange for a private escape room session and private FlowRider lesson. They can arrange private shopping at any of the high end stores. At port stops they can escort you off ship if you'd like. They have a special elevator key which immediately calls the elevator and avoids any stops. It really is a first class experience that we really love. We work hard and vacation big. You do get what you pay for so to speak. I hope you and your family has an amazing cruise!
  11. We cruise Star Class so we're already paying $16K+ per cruise.
  12. The majority of the ship is non-smoking. There are dedicated smoking areas. Are you telling me that a smoker won't gamble if they are forced to smoke in an outdoor designated area? They still cruised didn't they? I call total B.S. For the health of their employees and majority of passengers the casino should also be smoke free. Period. Our local Indian casino has been smoke free since the pandemic started and guess what, that place is packed as if smoking never existed. People comply or make alternative accommodations.
  13. Obesity and Diabetes are two of the more serious comorbidities for covid. Just because you feel your infection is "just a common cold" doesn't mean that it won't turn into something more sinister and by then it's too late for the available treatments since both must be started fairly soon after infection. (5 days for Paxlovid and 10 days for monoclonal antibodies) So please if you or someone you know has comorbidities, inform them of their options so that they can decide for themselves which path to take.
  14. My Grandfather and Mother both took Paxlovid and both recovered within 2-3 days after starting the drug. My Mother said the first day after starting the drug she already felt better. Mother & Grandfather are both tripled vax'd. My Uncle and Cousin both went with Monoclonal Antibody treatment and they also had relief within a few days after that treatment. They are both unvax'd. Thankfully there are 2 very effective treatments available to fight this nasty virus.
  15. We were on Harmony when hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose & Maria were raising cane. Our 7 day cruise turned into 10 days. Then due to the extensive damage and crazy flight cancellations in FL (our flights got cancelled 3 times) we decided to go back out in our same cabin for an additional 4 days for $600 each. 14 days, 28 points! We were staying in the A1 Aqua Theater. Weather was terrific with only 1 day many got sea sick. I think that was when we were closest to 2 of them. Capt said we were about 900 miles away. We were stuck in the Gulf of Mexico visiting Cozumel 4 times. But that was ok because we love La Choza Mexican restaurant. So long as you have some flexibility in your life, you'll be fine. Many who had to get back were getting off at the ports and getting flights home. As others have said, it was definitely one of our best cruises.
  16. Why do they play these silly pricing games for add-ons. It's like Kohl's. Can't they just give their best price all the time to everyone. They would sure get a ton less repricing calls to customer service. Time is money.
  17. Hi guys, First time going on NOS. Trying to decide on one of the suites. Are the perks the same in all of the suites, Grand and above? Does the most expensive Royal Suite have any additional perks? (Bottles offered in suite) Is unlimited specialty dining included? Is a drink pkg included? Is Starbucks included in any of the drink pkgs? Thank you for answering my questions!
  18. We just booked Ovation OL Alaska July 2023. Is that the best ship for Alaska compared with other lines offering $$$ suites?
  19. How is Giovani's Table vs Jamie's? We really love Jamie's. The Lemon Meringue Cheesecake is to die for and so is the Lasagna.
  20. I hear you but we're not in the room most of the time. Only a few hours in the am/eve. It's really 4 bedrooms with a common area and folks can have privacy in their rooms. 2 interior rooms & 2 balcony suites with a common living/dining room.
  21. We usually tap out at 9, but when you're sharing that rate 9 ways it's very affordable.
  22. I wish Royal would implement a dueling pianos concept. It's great fun and I think it would be a hit.
