Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. That's the life... https://www.entrepreneur.com/business-news/this-remote-worker-spends-300-nights-a-year-on-a-cruise-ship/457259
  2. Bumping this thread back up to the top. Last post was in October 2019. Any updates from some recent cruisers on this ship as to the depth of the indoor pool in the Hollywood Club? Thanks for any new insights.
  3. Thanks for figuring out what I meant 🙂
  4. I think they meant practice not praise … silly spellcheck.
  5. Thanks so much for your quick replies. That will work for me 🙂
  6. I was wondering if anyone knows if the pool on the new Onward is the same as the Quest. I was looking at photos and they look the same. Does anyone know the depth of the water in the Onward pool. I like a depth of between 4 and 5 feet to be able to do my aqua exercises without water over my head. I have been on the Quest and the pool worked well for me.Thanks for any assistance you can give.
  7. We are BC residents travelling on a round trip Alaska Cruise from Vancouver at the end of this month. My husband had a CT Scan to check his lungs and it was discovered he had mild emphysema and COPD. An incidental finding d also discovered he had pulmonary hypertension. He is scheduled to see a cardiologist in the future (Don't have a date yet). Does anyone know of an insurance company who will cover him in this in between time? Willing to spend for a high premium as it will probably still be cheaper than the single supplement for me (it is a sibling trip for me so I would still go). Any leads greatly appreciated. Erin
  8. We are sailing on Royal Caribbean at the end of April and we were emailed this week and told two days. It of course was with the caveat that it might change
  9. This is the Transport Canada site and it was updated yesterday on April 1. As far as I can see it is 2 days prior for the pre testing: Of course the situation is constantly changing so I will keep checking using this link: https://tc.canada.ca/en/marine-transportation/marine-safety/ship-safety-bulletins/measures-support-safe-cruise-travel-canada-ssb-no-18-2021-modified-april-1-2022
  10. We are planning on using Life Centers located in Alberta for our Alaska Cruise from Vancouver at the end of April. Cost is $20 for first person and $5 for the second using Google Meet. We can use the free antigen tests provided by the BC Government. Booking times are in Mountain time so an hour earlier in BC. Had some questions and got a quick response which made me feel more confident this is going to work. Everyone has to do what they feel most comfortable with.. Can book at least 4 weeks out if not more. Hoping it works well as there are six of us.
