  1. Just as an FYI it is King St Wharf (might make it easier for those looking for it on google maps) The public ferry wharf will be along to waterfront as the bus wil drop you one st back. Head to your right. Itt’s been a scorcher here today and supposed to be worse tomorrow but with thunderstorms.
  2. But the kiwis and victorians will call it a cray love the way language evolves and is local For wines Adelaide Hills beats Barossa hands down. Then you have Mclaren Vale and Clare Barossa does old wines well. The rest have some spectacular new world options One of my favourites is Shaw and Smith. If given the chance to taste a Tassie Tolpuddle while there jump at it
  3. Ahhh but Drron. NZ was terra nullius until Waitangi..🤣
  4. This is hard because things on Silversea changed post RCL and it closed the gap between the two drastically SB had better ships per pax IMHO, SS had better food and service until 2020 (pre Covid), it has slid down the quality line The lack of change in menus over the time, with the exception of slotting in inferior produce has narrowed the gap The handling of current trips has been a critical downfall. Seabourn notified people 29 Jan for trips as late as April, I got my cxl for Feb 23 on the 10th, add insult to injury, decision was made on 8th and it was only thanks to CC I knew earlier. I had done an onboard booking but because I’d made full payment I lost the bonuses accrued (5% plus $ 100 OBC) I have free laundry with SB 🤣 Driving factors…. price (single) ports and TBH. I don’t feel valued. OTOH, my experience with SB has been gratis upgrades, constant and open communication. I think it’s a coin toss
  5. I’m definitely not doing an onboard booking on my next cruise. In reality I got 15% off, a cruise that was ok for dates, but not a preferred option and a lot of last minute organising for other things I truly think they should have honoured my onboard booking for the cancelled cruise and kept up the whopping $100 OBC The only future cruise I will book will need to be heavily discounted and last minute
  6. Unfortunately. I’m still working🥲🥲🥲 coukd t leave that early and it was going to places I have been (in the case of Naha onwards multiple times). Whilst winning trivia is crucial, the side trips do add to the cruise
  7. After booking onboard Muse in Jan 2020 and shifting cruises a number of times, only to have Mahe to Dubai cancelled last week, I am now on for Sing to HK from March 23. Sydney office has done a pretty good job of moving me around Have 2 nights prior in Sing at Four Seasons in a club room (self organised) Solo and would love to join a trivia team if possible. Wanted to book Bako (full) or Semenggoh (waitlist) so if anyone has a space on a private I am happy to jump in. Also just found out debark day in HK is Qing Ming... LOL I booked an extra day... I'm rolling with the punches until knock out...after 800+ days boarding is now just 34 days away
  8. Having done numerous trips to Japan and often stayed in both Tokyo and Yokohama. If you do not end up with a Silversea hotel, don’t book the Conrad. The Four Seasons Ginza is the perfect location and they have staff who will help you navigate Tokyo train station. I definitely recommend using the rail wherever possible, even if you get a private guide. We have a friend who lives in Yokohama and he often drives us around, luckily he has a few dedicated parking spots, but just getting from place to place in the city itself is very slow.
  9. There’s only one leaving Singapore March 23… If someone is on that leg they know the cruise and have access to tour availability no need to be aggressive….the question is specific and those who can answer will know
  10. As a victim of the Seychelles cancellation, I am trying to move cruises. I have a very short window available and my agent is working with me to try and get me onboard inside this. I had waited 4 years for this trip…….originally cruise booking was onboard Muse in Jan 2020 which then was followed by a series of cancellations. it looks likely I maybe able to join the above cruise with no out of pocket expenses, however, I’m reluctant to join a cruise if there are zero tours available or just really poor options, such a coach hours. Is anybody who is also on this leg able to tell me what the tour availability looks like please? I know that they may have waitlists that I can be added to and I’m ok in some places just to DIY. The cruise is waitlisted out of Singapore, but available from Bali, so my theory is the ship is not completely full
  11. Mahe to Dubai has been extinguished from the website.
  12. Shows waitlist in Australia
  13. I booked when it was first released too! It was my about to be cancelled, after another about to be cancelled. After I had done an onboard booking in Jan 2020. if it is cancelled, I suspect my Silversea days are over, unless of course they can move me to another cruise similar dates and no extra outlay. I do not have the freedom of choosing when I travel so this last minute is not a good look for taking risks in the future.
  14. Initially I was told there were 2 alternatives 1 was to Mumbai or Singapore and Moon would stay Med. We now know that won’t happen The second was back to Cape Town… possible ports Dar Es Salaam Zanzibar Mombasa Djibouti Beira who knows ….????
  15. But how long is very soon. initially I was told 31 Jan at the latest….🤷‍♀️
  16. That’s interesting because the rumour I heard was it would make it to Dubai and an Athens cruise cancelled as they are not part of the GV. The other driving factor being getting people off Seychelles. It’s all guess work atm anyway… and it would be nice to know sooner rather than later. I’m in the unfortunate situation of not wanting to go anywhere if this cruise doesn’t happen, but I have leave booked and the cancellation window is closing
  17. Seabourn have just cancelled all their cruises that go to Dubai. Ship is sailing empty around the Horn
  18. Charli, Have you tried the link I posted above by any chance? It should all be in there
  19. We definitely have a my.silversea site My hotel for the Seychelles has been showing since mid last year. As have all other details. Charli it’s a totally separate site. Perhaps you may be able to find information at https://my.silversea.com/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2f
  20. Curious as to whether your rep is female please?
  21. And in many 5* luxury hotels I’ve been to as well
  22. Excuse my ignorance. Isn’t that a buffet though?
  23. Australia has a very strong breakfast culture. As an example my local cafe breakfast options include: Breakfast Board - this has chickpeas, poached eggs, olives, zataar, halloumi, spicy sausage Knafeh French Toast Breakfast Burrito with either salmon or ham and avocado and scrambled eggs omelette brioche roll, koji tomato chutney, mizuna, shichimi pork patty or smoked tofu Breakfast Rice bowl etc Change of cafe = change of menu. However, I do not expect a wide variety of breakfast options such as that when travelling. Personally, I thought Indochine on Muse was excellent, and The Grill...meh I think when we talk about food on these boards we all have a different perspective.
  24. Have you spoken directly with Sydney office or is it just your TA? Because on the phone yesterday I was told by them it is a combinable offer. The only hitch is it has to be a 2024 cruise?
